Certainly, it should not have been as big of a surprise as it was. The bubbly trait was always doing what was logically impossible. Patton relied more on feelings than actual logic, that was shown often.
He would bake and cook for the sides, often making sure they're all taking care of themselves. Especially Virgil who tended to lose sleep due to being on his phone. Patton made sure Logan didn't overwork himself or work too late into the night. He made sure Roman went to sleep on time, made it home from his adventures unscatched (or helps him with bandaging if he's hurt).
Any of them would tell you just how amazing Patton is. Even if his puns are a tedious (Logan) or he's too touchy (Virgil). They still all love him. Yet, still none of them had expected to be sitting in the common room, speaking about said trait who had disappeared throughout the day.
They were all worried, Roman ready to fight whoever he needed to. Virgil was damn near a panic attack and Logan was no better, thinking through what he'd have to do or where to look if Patton didn't return soon.
It was just getting closer to 10 pm when they heard quick footsteps. Roman and Logan stood while Virgil peeked over the top of the couch to see a grinning Patton enter the room.
"Kiddos! I brought presents!" Patton squealed out, rushing over to hand everyone a star.
"Oh, this is wonderous, Patrick Star!" Roman said, holding up his star as if showing the world despite being in the common room. Patton clapped his hands in happiness, noticing the dumbfounded expressions on both left brained traits.
"Wow, Pat..." Virgil breathed out, his eyes wide. "This is... Uh pretty cool, I guess."
Logan was speechless. Being the one who adored stars and astrology the most, it was to be expected. However... "This is impossible. A star is not... How?"
"Well, I was in the imagination and I saw them falling! So I caught them!" Patton said excitedly, bouncing on his heels with a wide grin. "I thought you all would love them!"
"Thank you, then, Patton... Though this still shouldn't..." Logan muttered to himself as he went to his room, surely to preform tests.
"Thanks dad." Virgil quips, wasting no time in going to his own room to find a great place for it.
Roman grinned and leaned over to Patton, pecking his cheek. "I guess I now have two beautiful shooting stars."
