Perfect Timing (Sanders Sides)

The first time it happened, Logan hadn't known what to think. As a man of science, he just could not wrap his mind around freezing time. So he took a walk, noting how nothing, absolutely nothing, but him could move. That is, unless he moves it (though he certainly wouldn't admit what he had done to those awful bullies from school).
The second time around, Logan was not anymore prepared. He immediately bumped into the poor person who was ahead of him in the hall, shaking his head in a daze. Well, at least it had given him more time to get to class and to check his work (for the 5th time since he's finished it).
It wasn't a common occurance, time stopping, but Logan was slowly clicking things together. By the 246th time, Logan had perfected his agility and was able to not ram into the person who stopped ahead of him. In high school, this had been a blessing, but in college, Logan was slightly irritated. He had things to learn! Things to do! And he couldn't even control it!
That stopped him, just outside the door to his dorm, realization hitting him hard. He doesn't control it.
     So who does?
Logan had stopped keeping count when it hit the 400th time, it was becoming far too frequent now. Logan merely sighed and went on his way, surprised to see movement out of the corner of his eye. He froze, his head moving quickly to watch the figure that retreated around a corner and he didn't think before he's after the figure.
Logan took hold of the figures shoulder, startling them and making them pull away quickly. Their deep brown eyes, mainly covered by purple bangs, latched onto Logan's dark blue ones. "What...? How... How are you moving?" The stranger questioned, pulling off his large headphones, causing his hood to fall back.
"I've always been able to," Logan replied simply. "Are you the one..." He gestured around them to the frozen scenery.
"I uh... Yeah," the stranger stuttered out. "I... I'm sorry, I didn't know..."
"It is fine," Logan said, cutting off the stranger from embarrassing themselves further. "I am Logan." He stated after some hesitance.
"Oh, uh... I'm Virgil," the stranger- Virgil- said back, giving Logan a quick heart stopping grin. "I uh... Should probably get going... Um... I really hope that... This... Isn't bothering you too much." At the word 'this' Virgil gestured around, letting out a nervous chuckle.
"It gives more time, so I do not mind..." Logan found himself saying, confused. Surely, it had bothered him... Hadn't it? He couldn't really think straight (ha, straight) with the cute man in front of him. "Would you... If you'd like... To exchange numbers?"
This got Logan another heart stopping smile from Virgil and a nod.
°°°°°
Logan was more on warnings now when the time would stop, Virgil would shoot him a quick text and he'd know. Beyond that, they actually became quite close friends and hung out frequently, Virgil more than willing to hear Logan's theories on both of their 'powers'.
It was one of those days where they were hanging out, at Logan's apartment no less for Virgil always said his is messy (though judging from a few calls they'd had, Logan guessed it was because of Virgil's brother who he shared the apartment with), they had known eachother for quite a while now. Enough that, while asking normal questions to eachother, Virgil blurted one he'd been wanting to ask for a while.
"Do you have a crush on anyone?" Virgil asked, quickly.
Logan was quiet for a bit, long enough to have Virgil anxious over the question itself. Then, causing Virgil to jump, Logan abruptly turned to Virgil. "If I answer, will you also?"
Virgil let out a breath, glad he hadn't gone too far. "Uhh... Yeah, seems fair."
"Then... As much as I dislike admitting it, yes. I do have romantic feelings for someone," Logan responded, watching emotion he couldn't recognize flicker through Virgil's eyes (though the one he did recognize was quickly gone; hope).
Virgil scratched the back of his neck, sighing. "I do too. Would you... I mean... I..." He huffed.
"You would like to know who," Logan stated, knowing exactly what Virgil wished to ask. "Why... Why don't we say it at the same time?"
Virgil hesitated then nodded, forcing himself not to start chewing on his sleeve. "Okay... Yeah..."
"On one... Three... Two..." Logan took a deep breath before counting the last number.
"You!" They said in unison, eyes widening at the same time and they stared at each other. Then, they both laughed, goofy grins on their faces as their hearts filled with relief.
"That's... That is extremely... Wonderful." Logan said once they stopped laughing, looking to Virgil.
"Yeah," Virgil gave Logan a smile and shifted closer. "Can uh... Can I... Kiss you?" His voice got quieter at the end of the question.
Logan blushed and nodded, also shifting closer to Virgil, their lips meeting softly.
And well, Logan never thought that his issue with time would be so rewarding. Maybe, it was just perfect timing for love to bloom.
