A Forgotten Part

Deceit takes a look around the dark sides mind palace, a good look at the octopus left on the ground. He picks it up, walking to the darkened hallway towards the cracked black door. He opens it, seeing the black and grey hoodie where it'd been discarded. Sliding off his cape, he sits on the abandoned bed and shucks his hat to the side. He puts the hoodie in and lies back on the bed. It was painful, he couldn't decieve himself about that. If it wasn't all over, if it wasn't only Virgil who had already broken his and Remus' hearts, then he could've continued to lie to himself that everything was fine. However, Remus followed him, betrayed Deceit once more and now... There was no lying about it. He's alone. Truly alone.

He sits up, curling further into the hoodie as he hugs the octopus as tight as he can. No one had asked him if he wanted to be apart of their little happy family, not even Remus. The man was just suddenly gone, his once bright green door now a deep emerald; tainted in colour with the departure. That's how Deceit had found out. Not through Remus himself, but through the room he'd left behind. This brought tears to Deceits eyes.

Both the people he's loved are gone. He was alone in a place he didn't want to be with no warning. Maybe Virgil had been right when he ducked out. What difference would he make? It was all the same. He was ignored, forgotten and left behind, unlike Virgil. No one would chase after him like they'd had for Remus. That was it.

With a final decision, Deceit stands and walks out the forgotten room. He leaves his hat, his cape, and keeps the hoodie instead. With a firm grip on the octopus in his hands, his door closes with a slam of finality.

The next day, Patton hums to himself as he makes breakfast for them all. A little pep in his step, it's one of his better days, however he feels something is missing. Despite what everyones told him, he supresses that without actual attention.

The first downstairs is Logan, a grumpy pout on the usually stoic mans face and Pat can't help but giggle. He brings the still sleepy Logan to a chair and sets a cup of coffee in front of the man. The smell seems to wake him up and he takes a sip, a grateful sigh escaping his lips. Pat beams at him when Logan gives him a thankful smile and goes back to work for the large breakfast.

Next is Roman, a little more loud and proud, greeting Patton with a kiss to the bubbly mans cheek, only raising his spirits that morning. Roman helps set the table for breakfast, knowing that the smell will at least wake up Virgil. Remus was a different matter, it seems hit or miss, but the man is down in seconds time when the bacon begins sizzling.

"What kinda pigs died today?!" Remus asks excitedly, siddling up to Pat who gives him a small and a friendly hip bump.

"Its turkey bacon today, Re. Why don't you help Roman out? When Virgil gets down, I'm sure it'll all be done." Pat responds, seeing the excited nod as Remus proceeds to bug Roman.

"Please, I haven't had my second cup of coffee to be able to deal with you two so early." Logan states, sighing and getting up to get it.

Virgil is down last, shuffling in his Nightmare Before Christmas pajamas and his normal hoodie. The eyeshadow is smudged but below his eyes as usual, clearly the emo hadn't gotten enough sleep to properly put it on. He rams straight into Remus when he finally notices the man has done far too much damage to their organization for Patton to be able to bring food to the table. Appropriately, Remus began to bug Virgil, helping the still tired emo sit while bothering the boy with not too bad facts, it was too early to send Virgil into a crisis, he'd do that later.

Once everything is set down and everyone's seated, they look around. It seems the feeling was finally over them all; a sense of loss of something. None of them could place it. "Dig in! I didn't make this all to get cold!" Pat exclaims, distracting everyone from the suffocating feeling.
