*finger guns* why not turn a ship to another right

He certainly feels awkward, something he never felt much often around people, when he gets caught. He had simply been doing what he always does on his way. Grabing three flowers, beautiful blue ones that the person on the corner away from his destination was growing. A small amount, harmless, and usually not... Well, usual. He doesn't like stealing, but he had never thought about it like that... Until now that is.
"Villiany! Stealing my flowers!" Came a loud voice, Patton glancing up to see a tan skinned man stalking towards him from the front door of the house.
"Oh! I uh... Sorry, I didn't... I mean," Patton stutters over his words, taken by surprise at how handsome the man was.
"Why are you stealing flowers?" The man questions, arms crossed as he stops in front of Patton, who was glad he already has his 3 flowers.
"I uh... Well, it uh... Won't happen again... You can have these back...?" Patton holds out his hand holding the flowers towards the caramel eyed stranger.
"No, you can keep them..." The stranger says, studying Pattons face. "I'm guessing they're for someone. And whoever this person is, I must know if they're worthy of flower theft!"
Patton stares for a few seconds, confused. "Worthy of flower theft?" He repeats.
"Yes! So I shall join you!" The stranger exclaims, smiling now. Unbeknownst to the usually hyper man, the stranger really would've let the other off, but he was bored and his friend was busy. So if an adventure with a stranger is the closest he can get, then so be it!
"Umm... Okay...?" Patton murmurs, starting to walk. God, how is he going to tell this handsome stranger he's going to the cemetary?!
"My name is Roman, by the way," The stranger- Roman- finally introduces, Patton responding with his own name in return.
The silence down the street is unbearable for both of them, Patton has never felt this awkward around anyone, but then again, no one had ever called him a flower thief then proceeded to come with him to a bloody cemetary. Not that Roman knew that it is their destination.
"You know... I don't really have to come along if uh," Roman starts, though he trails off when Patton stops and he stares at the other man in confusion then looks up.
"Uh... This is... Is it," Patton says softly, entering the gated cemetary and making his way past rows of headstones, the path memorized.
Roman hesitates before following, his heart sinking. Who had this, quite cute, man lost? He looked so happy and delighted picking Romans flowers, but to come here with them?
Patton finally stopped at a grounded headstone, kneeling down and cleaning off some leaves. "Hey Lo, I'm sorry I'm a bit late..."
Roman stands near him, giving him enough privacy, but curiously wanting to listen in still.
"I still miss you a lot, Lo," Patton murmurs, keeping his voice low so it doesn't crack, keeping his back to Roman as to not see the tears welling in his eyes. "It's uh... It's been a few years without you... You'd..." He took a shuddering breath, letting out a humourless laugh. "You'd be mad at me, Lo, definitely. Awful grammar, same dad jokes, though I know you had always secretly loved those, you couldn't hide that from me..."
When his shoulders start to shake, Roman walks over, hesitantly putting a comforting hand on Pattons cardigan clad shoulder. "May I ask who he... He was?"
Patton gives Roman a watery smile, having nearly forgotten the other was there. "He was my husband..." Patton wipes his eyes, taking a deep breath. "He uh... Loves-loved... Loved blue hydrangeas."
"Oh," Roman murmurs, kneeling down next to Patton. "What was he like?"
So they sat there, for hours, Roman asking questions about who Logan was and Patton answering (though Roman was sure not to push too far and to comfort Patton). It wasn't until it was dark that they both realized how long they'd been there.
"Next time... Would you like me to join you, Patton?" Roman asks, standing up and holding out his hand to Patton.
Patton hesitates, taking Romans hand as the wind whistled by, carrying an unmistakable voice.
I love you, Patton. Find yourself new happiness.
And Patton almost starts crying again, taking a shakey breath. "Yeah, that'd... That'd be nice. Thank you, Roman."
Then Patton smiles, a true genuine smile, the first since... Since he'd lost Logan.
