Roman loved all forms of art. For the most part theatre, though he was teaching himself to draw. He wanted to give his soulmate something to smile at in turn, having woken up multiple times to a cute drawing on his arm from said soulmate.
Roman was also a romantic (pun. Intended.) So whenever he could, he at least wrote small messages in his immaculant handwriting. Small "good morning, darling"s and "have a wonderful day" seemed to be the most effective, earning little hearts all around them which effectively made him smile.
Some days it was easier for him to do a tiny doodle in the middle of his scheduled chaos. Preformances and school and work were constants for Roman, keeping his quite busy, but he found his time to keep up his little notes.
Then finally, his rare yet wonderful days of a day off. He let out a deep relaxing breath, flopping back on his couch in his small apartment. He got out a pen and wrote on his arm "Hope your day is wonderful, darling." Not expecting any response as his eyes shut and he got a well needed nap.
When he awoke he looked at his smudged writing that had sloppy hearts around it, much different than he was used to. It wasnt until he saw an also sloppy adress, one he knew well. It was the coffee shop only two blocks from his apartment, the words appointment and remember next to it.
So of course, Roman does the first thing any person with the potential to meet their soulmate does. (Unless you have anxiety, then sit with me in a corner cause I dont have the balls Roman does.) Roman jumps up from the couch and goes to make sure he looks perfect, of course. Then he's out the door and already around a block before he has even time to think. How would he know who his soulmate is?
Roman slows, glad he had made sure to grab a pen and wrote. "Are you there?" The response wasnt immediate, Roman was practically halfway around the next block, just down the street when he saw the sloply handwriting.
"Im sorry, i didnt exactly mean to write that on my arm, but yeah. Sorry again."
Roman merely grinned at that. He was elated. "Do not worry! I happen to know where it is!"
The response was definitely slower this time, Roman was sure of it. "You do?"
"Of course! Why, I am already here!" And then Roman was opening the door and entering, looking around to see if he would be able to spot his soulmate.
Virgil was, for lack of better words, nearly panicking. He glanced up after he read the words, watching as a handsome man entered the store and glanced around as if looking for someone. Virgil recognized, numbly, that that someone was him. The man, who was certainly tall, had brown hair and tan skin. He held himself with confidence and grace, making Virgil wish his friend hadn't left 5 minutes ago, leaving Virgil to deal with the fact his soul mate seemed so perfect alone.
When the man started walking over to Virgil, he wished he had been more discreet in staring. Virgil quickly pulled his hoodie sleeve down, covering the conversation he had just had. The man slid into the seat across from Virgil, a goofy smile on his face that seemed to add to his charm. "Hello!" Came the mans voice, a deep but boisterous one. "I am Roman Prince!" (Fucking original I know. You come up with a fucking name off the bat at gods dam 1 am.)
"Hey... Im Virgil, uh... Virgil Black." (Also fucking original. F off.) Virgil said quietly, mentally cursing his stutter.
Roman gave him a dazzling smile, his short sleeves showing off the conversation that matched the one on Virgils covered arm. "I would have to guess it's you," Roman gestured to said covered arm. "but I would love to have a confirmation."
Virgil cracked a small nervous smile at Roman, who immediately found such a smile endearing. Roman wasnt afraid to admit that the absolutely stunning emo in front of him was well... Stunning. Roman took in the emos features as Virgil tugged down his sleeve nervously.
Roman noticed the eyeshadow, below Virgils eyes as if to accent any actual bags he may have. The purple in his soulmates hair, which fell over such beautiful chocolate brown eyes.
Virgil noticed the stare and noticed how Roman's eyes lit up in excitement when they fell onto the writing on his arm. Virgil found the way an excited smile that matched the eyes focused on him adorable and he nervously pulled his sleeve back down.
"Well, how about I give you my number and we go on a date this saturday? Maybe about 6?" Roman finally spoke up, causing Virgil to jump slightly.
"I uhh... That sounds great..." He replied softly, stiffling a laugh when Roman simply writes his number on his own arm, with a swirl of his name and a heart. "For now though... Why don't we get some drinks and continue to talk?"
Roman looks up at him, another smile kighting up his features. "Thats also a grand idea! What would you like?"
Virgil was glad for the agreement and once Roman, who insisted on getting the drinks and paying, got said drinks and came back, they got comfortable. They talked and talked until the place had to close and even then, when they got home, they were writing to each other.
Virgil was glad he had written the adress on his arm by the end of the day, deciding though that he needs to get himself a new notebook.
