Roman hadn't meant for the story to happen… The way it did. His simple question had been: Can I recreate a Disney story in the imagination?

So, through means of stealing a book from Logan (which Logan had obviously not read, for it was covered in dust) and going to the imagination, he set everyone in a predicament. And this, my friends, is where our story starts, our own Once Upon an Idiot… Time. Damn it, Logic, not now.

Roman awoke with a start, bird chirping incessantly around his head. A feeling of dread in his heart, he looks around curiously. “You know, it isn't kind to wake someone from a great dream,” He chastises the birds, running his fingers through his hair as the bird continue to chirp at him. He laughs and waves them off. “No, I cannot tell you the dream after all…-” He smiles as he starts singing. “A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you're fast asleep…” He gets up, getting ready as he continues to sing. Once through with his preparations, he stands at the window that outlooks the town from his ridiculous tower. A nagging thought, a remembered sarcastic comment floats through his head before it's gone. 'Really? All Disney apparently likes is damsels in towers.’

Roman shook his head, frowning for a moment before the clock goes off and he sighs. “Time to start the day I guess… Hm?” He looks down at two mice who jump at him, trying to get his attention. “We have a new friend? I see!” He rushes to his table and opens the drawer, pulling out a dress. “Would they like a dress?” The mouse, Talyn, shakes their head and gestures to the other outfits. Roman chuckles and pulls an orange hat, a red shirt and miniature shoes. “Alright, then let's go, shall we?”

Roman follows Talyn to the mouse trap, opening it only to have the quite plump mouse move towards the back, away from him. “Talyn, could you explain everything to them?” Talyn gives Roman a salute then walks themselves into the trap, ducking at a swing from the mouse and chittering to it, soon gesturing towards Roman. The mouse follows Talyn out of the cage, Roman dressing the mouse with a smile. “Be sure to tell them everything, Talyn… and how do you like Joan as your name, friendo?”

The mouse- Joan- nods vigorously at the name then Roman is off to take care of his chores. Going to his father's room after opening the curtains in the hall, he wakes up the cat. “Come here, Lucifer.” He calls quietly, to keep his father sleeping. “Lucifer, here. Now.” Lucifer jumps off the bed and struts his way to Roman who closes the door after Lucifer is with him. “Come, Lucifer.” Roman goes down the stairs and to the basement. He's a flurry of actions as he gets trays, tea pots, plates, and cups while also setting water on a kettle.

Roman was soon out the door, an apron scooped up into his hands to hold seed for the animals. He throws corn to the chicken and holds out a handful to the horse. Laughing to himself as four mice wave for his attention, he throws some to them too. He only seems to turn his back for a second then the chicken are one the corn for the mice and he has walk over. “Shoo! Shoo!” He drops a handful in front of Joan, giving the mouse a smile. “There you go, take as many as you wish.”

It was then he hears the clatter of bells inside, throwing the rest of the corn to the chickens and going inside hastily. He puts the cups on the plates then the plates on the trays after shooing Lucifer away from them. He grabs the kettle and pours the tea into the smaller tea pots, sighing as the bells continue to ring. “I'll be there soon!” He yells as if he'll be heard. He balances the three trays; one on his head, and one per hand and he goes back upstairs. Keeping the trays securely balanced, he frowns as he loses a loose shoe on the steps, turning and getting it back on without dropping anything. He was certainly thankful of the balance he'd obtained caring for his brothers and step-ren. He goes into his first brothers room, setting the tray on the table and sighing softly as he tells Roman to do his clothes, giving Roman a basket. His brother gives him a sarcastic thank you, Roman rolling his eyes as he leaves the room, the door closing behind him. He enters his next brothers room, setting the tray down and getting more laundry. Finally, he enters his ren's room, once again leaving a tray and exiting, starting his walk down the stairs when one of his brothers let out a yell.
