I didn't expect to fall asleep as quickly as I did. Matter of fact, I didn't even realise I fell asleep.

I only clocked that I did, when someone began lightly nudging me to wake up. I was still on the armchair, this time just in some very strange position, curled up with a hoodie plastered over me to act as a blanket.

I turned my body around, my head resting on the arm of the chair, I slowly opened my eyes, and almost had a whole ass heart attack.

Jake was looking at me from above, his face decently close to mine, and with a smile all over.

I widened my eyes, a little startled, and immediately, I sat up, looking around as if I had just ended up in a foreign country overnight.

"Wow, the way you reacted over seeing me feels kind of insulting." Jake chuckled, walking to sit down on the sofa.

I familiarised myself with the situation pretty quickly, clutching the hoodie out of instinct and looking around.

"Well, it's not everyday you wake up with someone staring directly at you." I spoke back, giving a yawn and looking at my phone for the time.

It was still pretty early in the morning, only around seven in the morning, so I must've been asleep for at most, two hours.

"That.. was a pure coincidence, anyways, Heeseung is alive and awake." Jake cleared his throat, Yeju walking in and staring at me as she sat beside Jake once more.

I sat up immediately, looking at Jake with actual surprise in my face.

"Seriously? Holy shit, do you have any weapons in this place? Clearly my words aren't getting through him." I stood up in an instant, walking around his house.

Jake gave a small laugh, following me round with such a sweet smile on his face. He still hadn't done anything about those grazes and cuts on his face and neck, I suppose since Heeseung was awake, I could sort it out for him.

"Hey, you should do something about those injuries." I told him, feeling a lot more better despite the fact I didn't sleep a lot.

"Ah, they're nothing. It's fine, they'll heal in their own time." Jake reassured me, opening the fridge and taking a box of macarons.

I raised my brows as I noticed the familiar box of the macarons. The label on it too.

Oh, so the macarons were from the bakery I worked at.

He noticed me observing the macarons, and probably got the wrong idea, pushing the box over to me.

"Take one, they're so good. Yeju bought me them once, and now she keeps buying them for me because I enjoy them so much." Jake chuckled, taking another macaron as I just watched his lively face devour the small little pastries.

"You know," I picked up the box, looking at the macarons through the clear plastic, "I actually made these."

I placed them back onto the counter, and the face on Jake was priceless, he had his mouth stuffed with macarons, eyes widened looking at me.

"For real?" He thought for a moment, "Ah shit, you're right, I just remembered the bakery you work at." Jake gave a laugh.

I could tell him how Yeju initially tried to take the macarons without paying, but that'd just be embarrassing - and what would I even gain from that?

My eyes looked from graze to graze, cut to cut on his face and neck, and then I followed it with a small sigh.

"You seriously don't have any ointment here?" I looked at him as he still continued stuffing his face with the macarons, pretty sure he inhaled them in like three seconds.

"You can look over there, but I don't know." He shrugged, a mouth full. I walked over to the cabinet he pointed to, and upon opening it, it was rather empty, just a few medicinal things scattered around.

Well, it is a guy's house afterall.

But to my own surprise, he actually did own ointment, probably used once judging how pristine the packaging of the ointment itself was.

I approached him again, and he sat on the stool, observing as I gently dabbed a few bits of the ointment on his cheekbone, jaw, and the side of his neck.

I rubbed the ointment in with my finger gently, just taking in how poreless his skin truly was. I don't know how a man like this could be born looking so gorgeous, but he's clearly proof that it can happen.

I stopped for a moment, getting caught up in his visuals. But quickly, was brought back to reality as Yeju made her presence known.

"Are we going to visit Heeseung then?" Her voice came out a little sharp and blunt.

I took my finger away from his face averting my body from him and proceeding to put the ointment back into the cabinet where it came from.

Yeju began talking to Jake, standing where I was just stood.
