"Ji-eun.." Jake's eyes went from my face down, then back up to my eyes, "Hey."

"Uh.. hey." I looked to the side awkwardly, it'd be great if we just moved along and said no more.

"Finished your shift?" Jake clearly did not get the hint, or maybe he just didn't want to get the hint.

"Yeah, just picking up a few things here and there." I explained briefly as Yeju scrolled onto her phone, poking her cheek with her tongue.

"Same here, Yeju asked if I could come with her, so." Jake had a light smile on his lips, staring down at me with constellations of stars in his eyes.

"Oh, by the way, stop by my house when you're done." I gave him a light smile, passing by him as he turned his head to look at me, a little bewildered at how I just said that with ease.

I literally only needed to return his hoodie, that was all, nothing more.

Now, I was practically running towards the checkout section, literally needed to get out of this place and go home as soon as possible, anything else I needed - I could always buy tomorrow. I just did not want to be here right now.

So, after paying, I took my ass straight home, unpacking the stuff I bought and placing them where they're supposed to go.

Over the time I was waiting for Jake to come over, I kept devising a plan, to make sure this little thing would be quick and simple. I'd simply bring him his hoodie, and wish him a good night, and then close the door.

That's all, nothing more.

I kept going over it, continuing to drill it into my head, that this is only a five second interaction and nothing more. Sure, it'd be great if it was longer - but at the same time - not a good idea whatsoever, so to keep myself sane, I just reiterated that me and Jake were never going to be anything more than friends.

Upon my pondering and walking around the house aimlessly, a knock reached the door. I stopped, taking in a quick breath and heading over to the door to open it.

Seeing his face made my whole plan just crash to the ground, the time I spent telling myself it was going to be a five second interaction - was utterly useless and a waste of my time.

He had a light smirk on his face, his head tilted to the side ever so slightly and staring at me with a sharp, intentful, gaze.

I seemed to just, easily, get lost into his face. It didn't even take a second, and I was already gone.

"You wanted me?" He snapped me out of my daze with his low, comfortable voice. I blinked at him rapidly, uh, yes, absolutely I want you.

"Oh. Yeah, uh, I accidentally took your hoodie. Just need to return it to it's owner." I chuckled meekly as I made the dumb mistake of letting him inside.

The second the door shut behind him, I already knew it wasn't going to be a five second interaction.

He followed behind silently, heading up towards my room. And somehow, it felt absolutely illegal for this man to be here once again.

Jake looked at my monitor as I grabbed the hoodie from my closet, walking over to him. He seemed interested on what was on the screen.

"You produce music?" He sat down on my chair as I gave a small chuckle at his newfound discovery. He seemed in awe, and began listening to a few snippets, new projects I was working on, and published songs.

He turned his head to look at me, his eyes brightening and his lips curving into a large smile.

"This is pretty." The words that came from his mouth were soft-spoken, gentle and almost felt like someone playing with your hair.

"It's just a small hobby of mine." I shrugged, a little flustered over this.

"Yeju listens to you, wonder how she'll feel if she finds out it's you all along." Jake chuckled, observing my face as I focused my attention on my screen.

"I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks she hates me." I gave a light smile, averting my gaze back to Jake's face, who just stared at me.

It was a mistake that I made, even daring to look back at him as he just stared at me. His lips gently parted and his eyes softening.

The silence between the two of us really brought it all together. I know that there was definitely something between us, but would it be right to even act on it?

His eyes shift from mine, to my lips, and then back to my eyes. And just as I thought it was really going to happen, my body turned away, I let out a chuckle as I head over to my balcony.

He came from behind me, that sweet smile - as per usual - on his face.

"Almost let it happen, didn't you?" Jake found it amusing, a faint laugh emitting from his lips.
