"Ah shit, my bad. Heeseung told me the bathroom was up here." Jake gave a nervous chuckle as I turned around, rubbing the cream into my face.

"Oh, it's fine, you can go, I'll just leave." I was about to leave, but he shook his head with a gentle smile.

"No no, it's fine, you can finish, I'll wait." He had this real comforting look on his face, and with that, he shut the door to the bathroom, leaving me to finish my skincare.

He seemed different to the rest of his friends, I don't know, I always associated Heeseung's friends with this kind of 'bad boy' kind of vibe, but judging by how Jake is, I'm starting to have my doubts.

I sped up my skincare game quickly, finishing it and hurriedly heading out so that he could go in. He stared at me as I walked past him, and god, I'd be so lying if I didn't say that he was the finest man I've ever encountered.

I walked into my room, pacing around in circles while, strangely, smiling to myself over this. I don't know why, but seeing him around more often kind of had me feeling excited.

Sure, nothing would happen, but still, it's a fine ass man, and he's in my house.

A moment after, the bathroom door opened, and the sound of someone walking back downstairs was heard. I had nothing to do today, and initially, I was going to clean my house, but considering I have some unexpected guests over, I'm not about to do that right now.

Instead, I made my way quietly downstairs, the kitchen was overfilling with the sound of laughter and chatter. I paused on the last step, giving a small sigh to myself.

"Hey, Heeseung, how old is your sister?" Jake's voice was easily recognisable, I picked my head up, widening my eyes at his question.

Pause - why the hell was he asking this, and why the hell was I smiling over it.

"Oooooh, Heeseung, he's about to hit on your little sister." Another of his friends jeered, nudging Heeseung it seemed like.

"Jay, watch your words." Heeseung scoffed, his voice a little darker, "And, Jake, don't even try that."

Jake gave a small laugh.

"So now asking about your sister means I'm going to seduce her and get with her now?" Jake laughed as the guys also did. Though, I just could tell Heeseung was not finding this remotely amusing.

"I know the kind of guy you are, she's a year younger than me. Don't get any ideas cause I'll take the tires off your motorcycle." Heeseung threatened, his voice seemed serious, but I wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic about that end part.

"Alright alright, relax, I was only curious." Jake gave a huff, as the rest of the table chuckled, muttering to themselves, at which, I couldn't quite hear what they were talking about.

I head to the kitchen in that moment, all the eyes were on me as I walked in, grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge.

"Ji-eun we're off, thanks for everything." Heeseung suddenly said, standing up randomly. Everybody else looked confused at how abrupt Heeseung was, but regardless, didn't say anything and stood up too, about to head off.

"Mhm, I won't pick up any more of your calls, so, just a heads up." I told him, heading out of the kitchen with my bottle of water.

He muttered something, but since I was already upstairs, I couldn't quite hear what he was rambling on about. I placed my bottle of water on my desk, realising I left my skincare in the bathroom since I was in such a hurry.

I made my way back inside, and realisation struck me as I noticed a phone on the side of the sink. I picked it up, turning it on and seeing the lockscreen of Jake and his friends.

Did this guy leave his phone here? How the hell?

I quickly made my way to the window, looking out to see if they were still close by, but at this point, they were all getting ready to leave, some of them already hopping on their motorcycles.

I gave a sigh, I suppose it was a good thing in a way, but also, not exactly.

I brought his phone into my room, placing it on my desk, he'll probably come and pick it up once he realises that he actually left it here, but for the time being, I'm not even going to run over there and stop him. I'm too lazy for that, and I've been running back and forth all morning anyways.
