The second day of being here closed nicely, with me and Siwan walking down the roads, eating icecream while looking at the sunset.
"So, how come you came here then?" He inquired, probably so curious as to why someone like me would come here out of all places.
He was a cute guy, younger than me by three years, and had the most beadiest eyes. I could tell he had so much left to learn about life and whatnot.
"Just needed a break, nothing to serious, I'm leaving soon anyways." I told him as he shot his head to look at me.
"What? Really? That was quick, I still don't know exactly how to make bread." He had this childish way of acting still, which I found absolutely adorable, you could just tell this guy had no idea about the difficulties of life.
"You'll figure it out as you go, that's how it is in life, roll with it." I chuckled, looking over at him as he just had sparkles all up over his face.
"You're cool Ji-eun, like an older sister." He gave a sweet laugh as I just gave a smile.
It would be so cool to be an older sister, I'd probably be like Heeseung too, to be fair. I looked to the ground as Siwan spoke, I didn't mean to intentionally ignore his words, but they just seemed to blur out to me.
I missed Jake most of all, I didn't read any of his messages too, though I knew he sent me a good few, I had no idea that love could actually hurt like this.
"Ji-eun? Ji-euuuun?" Siwan waved his hand in front of my face, and I snapped out of my daze, looking at him, alert.
"Huh? Yeah?" I blinked rapidly, looking at his face soften and give another giggle.
"Let's go to the annual concerts our town hosts, I'm sure you'll like it." He pointed over to a stage over in the distance, people sat in chairs, swaying side to side as someone was singing.
The backdrop was beautiful, it was a sweet sunset, a blend of colours bleeding out into the sky, along with this absolutely cute gathering of people, supporting those coming up on stage, performing songs or just dancing.
I stood by the side, my eyes locked at the sight of how humanity could be so cute. Safe to say, this trip was well needed to restore my faith in people and how everybody is actually just so compassionate with one another.
It sucked I was without Jake, I'm sure it'd be great if the two of us were here, but, I don't know.
Would he even like sweet places like this? Because I know he loves chasing the high of adrenaline, loves doing everything he's not supposed to.
And I gave a sigh.
This is probably what Heeseung meant when he told me to stay away from Jake. We are simply just too different, no matter what way it is, we can't pair together, because he likes things I don't, and I like things he doesn't.
In my melancholic, quite upsetting moment of thoughts, Siwan cut me off, pushing me off to the front with the most eager smile in the world.
"You go, come on, go try it out." He pushed me forward as people began looking at me, wondering what was going on.
I looked at Siwan, widened eyes and absolutely not wanting this, but he insisted heavily, all eyes were on the scene he was making right now.
"What? No? I don't even know what to do--" I panicked, my body feeling a little hot as people just stared, and spoke to each other.
"Oh come on, just do something, you said you're leaving soon anyways, why will it matter to you?" Siwan's words really struck something in me, and I came to conclusion that he was right.
I'm leaving soon anyways, so I may as well leave my mark, as the tourist who seems borderline crazy.
I stepped up onto the stage, grabbing ahold of the microphone, and at first, my hands began sweating upon looking at all the people - just gawping at me and waiting.
But I quickly regained my confidence, beginning to sing one of my songs that I hadn't yet released, a man played the same few, soft chords on the side, trying to match it with the song I was singing.
Of course, it wasn't the exact tune of the song, but I appreciated his efforts and how he actually made an impact.
People swayed from side to side, taking pictures and recording. An old couple even got up, dancing around.
People were just smiling, having a good time, laughing and dancing, and seeing them react like this while I sang, really made me forget that I had any problems at all.
After I finished singing, the audience cheered, clapped and whistled, taking more pictures as I bowed and gave my thanks to the guitarist on the side who was playing the acoustic for me.
I stepped down, back to Siwan with a smile as he gave me a round of applause.
"You're amazing Ji-eun! When you leave, don't forget me, and come back someday." Siwan's eyes lit up as I nodded, cheeks hurting from how much I was smiling.
