*3rd Person POV*

Pearls ability fell apart as her guard was forced down by the intense vision and feelings she experienced. Revealing her presence to the many vampires and shifters, plus one human, who adorned the clearing. The young vampire held eye contact with the strange silver coloured wolf, who had just appeared out of thin air. The creatures bright blue eyes reflected within her red ones. And for the first time since the change, the young vampire felt safe. Under the new wolfs gaze, she felt protected.

Pearl, snapping back to reality, was thoroughly confused about what had just taken place. The needy feeling to be close to the red eyed girl unnerved her greatly. But she could not look away. Pearl kept her gaze firmly fixed on the young girl. Failing to realise the chaos that her now opened mind was causing.

'What the hell?!' Shouted Paul.

'Who is this guy?!' Screamed Embry.

'Did he just imprint?' Quil commented.

'Why do I feel like I know him?' Seth wondered.

'Why didn't we sense him?' Asked Jared.

'How did all of us hear his thoughts? Is he part of the pack?' Jacob questioned.

'Who cares! He imprinted on a fucking leech!' Yelled Leah.

'Sam? What do we do?' Someone eventually asked the alpha.

Which was followed by a series of different 'Sam's?' from all directions. Everyone was confused at the events that had just occurred. And the entire pack wanted answers.

Upon hearing the turmoil of the pack, Pearl immediately shielded her thoughts once again. Not wanting her identity to be found out.

Meanwhile, a certain mind reading vampire who had witnessed the mass confusion was now explaining the events that had just taken place, to his family and to his fiancé. To say that the Cullens were surprised would be an understatement, they were utterly shocked that a shifter had imprinted on a vampire. Most of them, were still absolutely dumbfounded by the new wolf's appearance. They hadn't sensed him at all. They weren't able to smell him either. That could have been from the amount of new borns that were around and/or it could be because of the pack being there in general, but even so, they should have been able to smell a strange wolf that was watching them from the sidelines. Currently, they still can't smell him. And that was freaking the coven of vampires out.

'What kind of shifter is he?' Carlisle wondered. 'The wet dog smell should be overpowering our senses right now, considering how close he is.'

Edward looked over to Carlisle upon reading his thoughts, and became even more confused when he realised that what he said about the smell was very much true. He couldn't smell this wolf at all.

The Cullens, like the shifters, had many questions surrounding the blue eyed silver furred wolf. The wolf in question though, couldn't care a less about the attention that they were receiving. As Pearls whole body and soul, was centred around the small vampire girl that was sitting on the ground, staring back at her. Nothing else mattered to Pearl right now.

*Pearls POV*

"She's beautiful." I muttered under my breath. Being in wolf form, it came out as an incoherent sound. Sort of like a strangled whine. 'I wish I could talk to her right now. But if I shift I'll be naked. And I've done enough of that to last a lifetime', I thought jokingly. 'Don't wanna give a bad first impression either. Although, I'm pretty sure that this is absolutely the most weird situation either of us have ever been in. So in light of that, do first impressions really matter? Hmmm. Probably best to take this slow right now, especially since I don't know what's really going on. And there is a lot of other people around right now.'

I crept forwards slowly, lowering myself to the ground as I did so, in order to seem less threatening. 'I don't wanna scare her anymore than she already is.' I thought. She didn't move away at all, so I took it as an invite. I lay down in front of her and dropped my large furry head into her lap. The vampire girl froze for a moment, before hesitantly placing her hand on my head and started petting me gently. It was nice. It felt warm. Like my life had a meaning again. A purpose. This small teenager, with long brown hair and ruby red eyes is apart of me. 'I want to be close to her. I will do anything for her.' I decided.

Everyone had fallen silent whilst watching this strange shifter interact with the new born vampire. Any doubts about the imprinting, had been totally erased. No shifter would willingly put themselves into the arms of a vampire, without that kind of special supernatural connection. And it was extremely clear to everyone that the two of them were now completely, utterly and irreversibly connected.

The moment of peace and silence however, was interrupted by the pixie haired vampire, who let out a sudden audible gasp.

"The Volturi... they're coming." Alice remarked, with fear in her voice.
