*Emmet's POV*
Okay, how can I get back at Pearl. I can't let her get away with what she did last week. She's finally cooled off, so now's my chance.
So what if I eavesdropped on their conversation a little? I didn't do anything wrong, per say. I just found out a little earlier than everyone else.
She's technically stronger than me now. So challenging her to a fight, will end with me on my arse and her laughing.
Hmm. What to do?
I involuntarily gasped as the perfect idea hit me. "Light bulb." I whispered quietly.
'Where is my favourite niece?' I thought while letting my smirk grow.
*3rd Person POV*
It didn't take Emmet long to locate Renesmee, as she was with her mother and father in their cabin. Running up to Edward and Bella, Emmet hastily asked if he could spend time with his wonderful niece.
Bella was sceptical about Emmet's intentions because of the clear look of excitement on his face, but she ultimately agreed, as it would allow her and Edward to get the chance to have some alone time.
Meanwhile, Edward was using his gift to read his brother's mind, and was internally face palming himself due to his brother's idiocy. Even though Emmet's plan was just plain stupid, and would likely result in him getting decapitated, there was no way Edward was going to try and stop him.
Emmet's idea, was simply too amusing to prohibit.
So Edward gave his brother the go ahead with his wife, and Emmet left with the now physically 6 year old Renesmee.
*Somewhere In The Forest*
Emmet had Renesmee on his shoulders as he slowly walked through the forest. While smirking to himself, he spoke up in a deceptively innocent tone.
"Have I ever told you the story of how Auntie Pearl discovered her absolute favourite food?" He asked.
Renesmee looked at her Uncle with curious child innocence in her eyes, and shook her head.
"I haven't?!" He dramatically shouted, causing Renesmee to giggle.
"Oh, well, we gotta fix that!" He exclaimed excitedly.
"Now, she doesn't talk about it very often, but Auntie Pearl's favourite food in the whole wide world, is bugs!"
"Eww." Renesmee made a noise of disgust mixed with amusement.
"I know! Eww indeed!" Emmet laughed, then he continued. "Of course, with me being the amazing big brother that I am, I ordered a bunch of different bugs and critters for you Aunt to try. And she ate every single one of them!" He happily stated. Conveniently leaving out the part where Pearl despised every second of the torture, and that she had no choice but to do as he said.
"Did she like them?" Renesmee curiously asked.
Lying between his teeth, Emmet responded. "Yep! But she doesn't talk about her love for eating bugs very much because she's a little embarrassed by it."
"Oh" Renesmee made a sound of acknowledgement as her child brain processed the information.
Emmet waited patiently for the hopefully inevitable result that would occur because of what he had said.
After a while, Renesmee asked with an innocent form of excitement. "Do you think Auntie Pearl would like it if I brought her a big bug to eat?"
In fake surprise and an overly happy tone, Emmet responded, "That's a wonderful idea Ness! Why didn't I think of that?!" He then playfully slapped himself in the face, causing Renesmee to laugh loudly at her Uncle's actions.
