*3rd Person POV*
The next day Alice, Pearl and Bree, were sat down on one of the couches in the living room, watching a film. Alice was braiding Bree's hair, whilst they watched the movie.
"Bree? Why did you want me here again?" Pearl asked in a bored tone.
The film they were watching, was all about a couple's relationship and how they fell deeper in love with each other. It was extremely romantic, and Pearl wasn't particularly into that kind of stuff. Ever oblivious to her own personal feelings. She only agreed to sit through it, because Bree had asked her to. But that didn't mean that she wouldn't complain.
"Because it's beautiful." Bree replied happily. "It's so romantic."
"Really? I never would have guessed." Pearl said in a sarcastic tone.
Bree slapped the hybrid's arm, telling her off.
"You just don't understand classic romance Pearl. Your basically blind to it." Alice said from behind Bree, in a somewhat teasing voice.
Pearl rolled her eyes. "You still haven't answered why, I had to join you two. You both seem perfectly content, so all I'm asking, is why I have to sit here and suffer for you?" She complained.
"You are not suffering. And by staying here, you are being a good mate." Bree said, daring her to protest again.
Pearl groaned, but didn't say anything further. Alice grinned at the hybrid in victory. Knowing that she was very much, whipped. And was definitely a simp for Bree.
*Time Skip (45 minutes later)*
Jasper's voice rang out from the backyard, calling for Pearl.
Believing to have already lost a multitude of brain cells by watching this film, Pearl jumped at the opportunity to leave it behind. Saying farewell to her imprint and Alice, who both glared playfully at her in return. Pearl fled to the backyard to find Jasper.
Pearl found Jasper a little bit aways from the house, in what seemed to be, a training area.
Pearl raised an eyebrow, silently questioning what he wanted.
Jasper answered the silent inquiry. "You've never had any official practice with your gift, and since I have some energy to burn, and my lovely mate asked me to do this. We are going to engage in a training session." He said in his Texan accent.
'Oh god... I'm going to die.' Pearl immediately thought after hearing what he wanted to do. She started to panic internally. Picturing all of the ways Jasper would absolutely destroy her. She could remember very clearly, that whenever Jasper decided to join in with her and Emmet's play fights, he would absolutely wipe the floor with them. Even when she and Emmet had teamed up. They were still no match against Jasper. There was no way in hell that she would get anything from this, other than a bloody nose.
Jasper smirked at her when he sensed her panic. Believing that she was going to try and back out, Jasper added, "By the way, this is my deal. Your payment to me for avoiding that dress at Edward and Bella's wedding." Knowing full well, that Pearl now couldn't refuse the upcoming fight.
Pearl paled slightly and gulped. Before hesitantly nodding her head in acceptance.Pearl walked to the middle of the makeshift arena and got herself into a fighting position. Jasper moved so that he was standing opposite her. His body language was much more relaxed than Pearl's. Jasper was practically oozing confidence.
"You first." Jasper spoke, challenging Pearl to make the first move.
As soon as the words left his mouth, Pearl launched herself at him. Going in for a punch to the face, she was quickly grabbed and thrown aside. Before she even got a chance to stand back up, she was immediately pinned down by the Texan vampire.
"Too slow." He pointed out in a teasing manner.
Pearl growled slightly in frustration, then replied to him. "Again."
Jasper released Pearl and took a few steps back, allowing Pearl to once again, make the first move. Pearl was unfortunately thrown around by Jasper, an awful lot. Her experience fighting as a vampire, was rather limited. And her strongest assets within her gift, was much better utilised in her wolf form. As she still struggled with becoming intangible whilst wearing clothes. And since she didn't wish to fight the Texan while naked, her chances of winning were close to zero.
Being knocked down again, by a hard punch to the face, Pearl muttered angrily, "Is there a point to this?"
Jasper answered with a smirk, "Learning to fight in every manner that you can, multiplies your overall arsenal, and increases your chances of winning. Efficiently utilising your gift will also be a massive advantage to you." After his explanation he paused. And then started snickering quietly, before he continued. "That, and Alice asked me to do this to dissuade you from complaining about her romantic films in the future."
Pearl stared at him in disbelief, mouth agape. Then loudly yelled, "Are you kidding me?!"
Jasper found it difficult to contain his laughter while watching the hybrid rant about his mate's antics. Attempting to compose himself and change the subject, he said, "Why not try in your wolf form? You have more experience with it in real combat. And the issue with your clothes certainly doesn't apply with it." He suggested.
Deciding that she would get Alice back later, Pearl agrees. Turning invisible to ditch her clothes and shift into her silver wolf. Reappearing in front of Jasper, she growls playfully at him. Feeling a little bit more confident in herself this time.
Engaging in a fight, the balance between the two looked a lot more even. Jasper's experience made it quite difficult for Pearl to land any of her makeshift attacks, but Jasper wasn't able to land many hits on Pearl either. They were at a stand still. A stalemate.
So Pearl turned herself invisible and started circling the Texan. Waiting for an opportunity to strike. Jasper tried to detect her with his gift and his senses, but was unable to get a clear read off of the hybrid. He couldn't decipher her exact location due to her own gift concealing herself perfectly.
'Gotcha' Pearl thought. Seeing an opening, she lunges at Jasper from the side, successfully pinning him to the ground. Hearing him grunt, she was surprised and momentarily lost her focus on him, as she thought, 'I did it.'
Seeing that Pearl was distracted and had let her guard down for a split second, Jasper took advantage and threw Pearl off of him with so much force that she slammed into a nearby tree, dazing the hybrid. Unable to get up in time to retaliate, Pearl got pinned down by Jasper once again.
'Dammit!' Pearl complains in her head.
"Never let your guard down until you deliver the kill." He teased her.
Pearl huffs out a response in her wolf form and goes limp beneath him, to show her surrender. Jasper let's her up and steps away. Before they could start again, the two were interrupted by clapping coming from outside the house. Looking over they saw the rest of the coven standing there, watching them. The clapping was quickly overshadowed by a booming voice.
"My turn!" Emmet yells, then launches himself at the unsuspecting silver wolf.
