It felt like a cold, hard boulder was tossed at me and it was travelling at 200mph. Or more. I was thrown from my bike into a tree. Looking around, everything is kinda fuzzy. There's a high pitched noise ringing in my ears and everything else sounds kinda muffled. Sort of like, when I go swimming and swim underwater. Nothing really sounds clear.
I sat up. Groaning softly. "What happened? What did I hit?" I heard myself utter quietly. It didn't feel real.
"That would be me sweetheart," a lady with fire red hair spoke up in a sweet voice. She was standing above me, gazing down at what must be a fairly crumpled up body. Cause it sure feels like that right now.
My surroundings were still a bit blurry but my vision seemed to clear up rather quickly. As I was able to make out more and more, the clearer this woman standing in front of me became. She was beautiful. Stunning even. She did look rather pale though. Had she been injured? Did I hit this poor lady with my bike? She came out of know where, but that's still on me. I need to make sure she's alright.
"Oh my gosh! Are you okay? Did I hit you? Are you hurt? You should probably sit down. I'll call an ambulance." Rushing to get up and check on the lady I collided with, I failed to notice my own injuries. That was until I put pressure on my right leg, which sent me directly into the ground, feeling mass amounts of pain. Looking down, my leg was at a 90 degree angle. I'm no doctor but I know for a fact, legs, are not supposed to look like that. It was only after I started focusing on my leg that I noticed all the blood. I was bleeding, badly.
The woman's voice broke through my train of thought. "Oh, you are a sweet thing. I'm perfectly fine darling. And you will be too. Well... after some changes, that is." She smiled kindly at me.
There was something about her. I hadn't noticed it before, but, I felt, on edge. Something about this red haired beauty screamed danger to me. She unnerved me. I've never felt this way before. This feeling is intense and it's only getting stronger. This is something I just can't ignore.
There were so many things I wanted to say, questions I wanted to ask, but all that stumbled out of my mouth was a meek little "...what?".
"Oh, you poor dear, don't worry everything will be explained soon." Walking towards me with a look in her eyes I couldn't quite distinguish, although something else caught my attention. This lady... her eyes... they're red. She has red eyes. What... what is she? I shuffled backwards trying to get away from her. But my leg was making that extremely difficult. Downright impossible actually. It just hurt to much. The adrenaline must have worn off. I had no energy, I could hardly move.
The red haired woman crouched down in front of me and placed her cold hand on my cheek. Much to my shame, I let out an involuntary whimper of fear. "Shh, hush, my little one, it will all be over soon." Grabbing a fistful of my hair, she pulled me towards her in one swift motion, and bit into my neck.
At that moment, I realised exactly what she was. 'She's a Cold One' I thought. All the tribal legends and stories dad told us. They're all true. 'They're real! Vampires are real! Why didn't anyone tell me that those legends aren't just some stories!', the pain was becoming to much to bear. It felt like my neck was on fire. 'If I'm gonna die, please make it quick. I'll be with you soon dad.'
*3rd Person POV*
Pulling away from the girl. Victoria looked down at her newest recruit. 'She's gonna be a good one', she thought. The girl wasn't screaming in pain yet, only letting out small whimpers which was the only indication to Victoria that the venom was working. Deciding that the girl must have a high pain tolerance to withstand the venom, alongside her very obviously broken leg. She took note of how strong this girl will become and couldn't help but smirk. Victoria had seen the look of realisation in the girls eyes. The kid new what she was. And that only made Victorias job easier.
Victoria looked towards the scene she had created and decided to clean it up a bit before leaving, and taking her newest newborn back to the hideout. She broke the bike apart, purposely smashing up the fuel tank, allowing the fuel to spill everywhere. She placed the girls backpack into the fuel and lit one of her many matches. Throwing it into the puddle of gasoline. Setting it all ablaze. Making the scene look like a fiery crash had taken place.
Unbeknownst to Victoria, Pearl was very much still awake and was watching her every move. The physical pain she was feeling was incredibly intense but that was nothing compared to watching her beloved bike be destroyed. That was the last piece of her father Pearl had left, and now, that was gone too. She was angry. No. She was furious. Pearl wanted to hurt this lady... this vampire. The more thoughts that made there way into Pearl's head surrounding this woman, the angrier she became. Physically shaking with rage, pain long forgotten, Victoria turned around to face the girl she had attacked, ready to leave and get her settled back home to prepare for the transformation. She was shocked by what she witnessed.
Pearl exploded into a massive ball of silver fur. A large muzzle bearing sharp pearly white teeth pointed in Victorias direction. Excessive amounts of saliva pooling from the beasts mouth. The once bleeding and broken leg was now completely fixed, leaving behind no signs of any injury. Standing tall at 8 feet 6 inches the giant silver furred creature let out a guttural growl towards the vampire. Sending a shiver down Victoria's spine.
Before she could even hope to run away, the beast had already lunged at Victoria with lightning speed and precision. Clamping it's massive jaws around her head. The beasts claws dug into Victorias chest as she was knocked to the ground. Her head was severed from her body by a powerful tug. The creature tossed Victorias head to the side (the head landing in a bush a couple metres away) as it proceeded to rip the body apart, limb by limb. There was a wild look in the beasts eyes as it ravaged the vampires body.
After a few moments, when the body was in complete disarray, a soft look appeared in the beasts eyes. Deep blue orbs reflecting the horror, the sadness and the panicked emotions it felt towards its own actions. With its own internal struggle raging. The creature turned and ran into the trees that lay behind it, disappearing into the darkness.
Leaving an unattended vampire corpse behind, that without the use of flames to destroy it completely, the body had already began to stitch itself back together.
