*Pearl's POV*

'For fucks sake. I just want to leave. I don't wanna deal with this.' I complained in my head.

I stared at my mother and sister, waiting for them to say something.

*3rd Person POV*

Sue and Leah looked at Pearl and we're incredibly shocked to see her. Emily had texted the two of them, telling them that they were needed at the pack house immediately, so they had both rushed here, thinking that Seth had been hurt after he left the wedding. Never in their wildest dreams had they thought that the reason they were called here was because of Pearl.

Sue started crying upon seeing Pearl, and advanced towards her, intending to hug her youngest daughter. Pearl avoided Sue's arms and quickly moved away from her mother. Standing in the corner, Pearl glared at Sue and Leah.

Leah was speechless. She didn't have anything to say. She didn't know what to say. She had believed that Pearl had left to find a new life, thinking that she wasn't going to come back. And, Leah was okay with that. She thought that, if Pearl was gone from all of the craziness happening on the res, then her sister would be able to lead a normal life. The life that she herself wanted so desperately. So why was Pearl back? What was she doing here? And why was her sister glaring at her?

Sue started to rapid fire a multitude of questions towards Pearl and the boys.

"What happened? Are you okay? What are you doing here? Where have you been? How did you find her? What's wrong?" Sue was hysterical at this point, and continued to quickly ask questions through her tears. Sam and Emily ended up pulling Sue aside in order to try and calm her down. Doing their best to answer all of her questions with the knowledge they had.

Jared took it upon himself to inform Leah about the situation, seeing that Seth was still in tears on the couch and, that he clearly had no intentions of speaking.

"Leah" Jared got her attention. "Pearl is the wolf from the clearing. The one from the new born battle." He said.

Leah didn't answer, but the surprise could be seen on her face.

Jared continued, "The night she ran away, she was attacked by the red-headed bloodsucker."

Leah growled, but said nothing.

"The leech bit her, and then Pearl shifted for the first time." Jared said, finally prompting Leah to speak.

"What do you mean, bit her?" She asked, angrily. Knowing that vampire venom was rather dangerous to shifters.

Jared paused, unsure how to tell her. Paul took the opportunity and shouted out, "She's a goddamn vampire!" He pointed at Pearl, who looked at him coldly and said nothing, already resigned for the storm that was about to be unleashed.

Leah stared at Pearl and glared. She couldn't smell a vampire. She couldn't smell anything coming off of her sister. But when Leah noticed her new eye colour, she couldn't deny it. The baby blue eyes of her sister that were once full of life, were now replaced by a golden colour. The eyes off the walking dead.

"You're a fucking leech!" Leah shouted.

Pearl stared at her, face void of emotion, and answered coldly, "I'm also a wolf shifter."

"What the hell does that mean?!" Leah exploded, body shaking.

"I'm a hybrid. Half and half. Both a vampire, and a wolf shifter." Pearl stated.

"You're a freak!" Leah screeched.

Pearl let out a humourless laugh. "Really? That's what Jacob said, before I beat his arse." Said Pearl, no longer caring what anyone may think of her.

"You did what?!" Leah shouted out in anger and disbelief.

"I beat him in a fight. We both shifted. And I won." Pearl bluntly stated.

Sue, Emily and Sam, had stopped talking at this point and were stood watching the sisters. Seth sat silently on the couch, tears still running down his face. Everyone else in the room, was silent, watching the sisters interact.

Face stoic and voice cold, Pearl asked, "Are we done here? I would like to leave."

"You mother fucker!" Leah screamed and stormed towards Pearl, her body shaking violently.
