*3rd Person POV*

Now in their wolf forms, the pack link became flooded with each of their thoughts. Pearl, having turned off her gift, in order for Edward to hear her message, meant that her mind was on full display to Jacob. As was his, to her.

What Pearl saw in Jacob's mind, pissed her off. Billy Black, Jacob's dad, was indeed the first person to pay any mind to her disappearance. What Bella had said was true. Not that she didn't believe her, but, a message from someone who wasn't directly involved could mean, that what they say is a strained version of the truth, as they don't have all of the facts. So getting it confirmed by Jacob's mind, where he was some one directly involved. Made it more real. It was Billy, who filed the missing person report for her, along with Charlie. Pearl's family, didn't do shit. There's no denying it anymore. They don't care for her. She could be dead and they don't give a damn. Pearl's family, died alongside her father. She's alone...

Jacob, was getting a full blown recap of the last couple of months, from Pearl's perspective. He saw Pearl running away from home, being attacked by Victoria, becoming a vampire, shifting for the first time, imprinting on a vampire and being offered to join the Cullen family. To say Jacob was furious, would be a complete understatement.

The pack link, now flooded with memories and emotions, only holding two minds, both of which, were incredibly angry. And had little to no control over themselves, any longer.

Jacob was the first to break from the trance that all of Pearl's memories put him into, as Pearl was still dwelling on the feelings of her family leaving her behind. The brown wolf lunged at Pearl, teeth bared, and growling furiously. The brown wolf attempted to bite at the silver wolfs throat. Pearl snapped out of her own thoughts quickly, upon noticing the impending attack. The silver wolf jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding Jacob's teeth.

Pearl had no interest in playing defence, she was just to angry to think with logic, she was acting on instinct. And at the moment, she was in a fight, so she was going to fight back. And she was going to win. Quickly spinning on her wolf's paws, Pearl jumped at Jacob and latched her jaws onto his shoulder. Placing her two front paws onto his body, she attempted to push him to the ground.

Jacob, having had more experience fighting as a wolf, was able to push her off of him. And head butted her away. Fighting another shifter was not something he did often, but the few times Jacob had took on Paul was certainly giving him an edge. The experience he gained from those fights, was key to winning this one.

Jacob didn't allow Pearl any time to recover, as he quickly bit into her neck and furiously shook his head, trying to cause some damage.

Pearl was to stunned to react at first, however it only took her a few seconds to regain her bearings. She forced herself onto her back paws, and used her front paws to push the brown wolf down towards the ground. Ripping her neck away from Jacob's grasp, she placed her own muzzle into the back of his neck, biting down hard. Pearl used her full body weight and vampire strength to force Jacob onto the ground.

Jacob's legs collapsed from underneath him at the sheer pressure being applied to his head and neck. On the ground, he thrashed around violently, trying to free himself from Pearl's iron clad grip. Pearl remained steadfast in her resolve and successfully held him to the ground. With a firm grip on his neck, her teeth penetrating his skin, it wasn't long before she started tasting the warm liquid, his blood.

*Pearl's POV*

'Quit it! I ain't letting you up!' I screamed at Jacob through the link.

'Fuck you leech lover! Fucking freak! I'll kill you!' I heard Jacob scream back. He was beside himself with anger, clearly not thinking straight.

Before all of this... before everything went wrong. Me and Jacob were fairly good friends. My dad and his dad were close. So we'd often end up hanging out together. Seth looked up to Jacob and definitely saw him as an older brother. I didn't like him as much as Seth did, but, I still saw him as a good friend. He was always so caring and understanding. Someone who you wanted to be around.

But this guy? This isn't him. It's not the same Jacob I knew. Now, I know I'm not the same me. But I don't think I've changed that drastically. I can barely recognise this guy. He's got the same face I knew from before, the same general look. But his eyes... they're different. Did they always hold such anger? Such hate?

Jacob growled menacingly from underneath me, and despite my efforts, was able to get his footing and push against me.

'You're a freak of nature! I'll be doing everyone a favour getting rid of you!' Jacob declared, finally throwing me off him.

I caught myself quickly, and turned around to face him, ready for his next move. But instead of lunging at me, he only growled across from me. There was a new look in his eyes. This one, was cold. The anger was still present but, he was in control. He isn't attacking randomly anymore. It's a conscious decision. This... is real.

We started circling each other. Sizing each other up. Waiting for the next move. My gaze never left his body. Getting distracted now, would be a death sentence.

'How the hell am I supposed to do this?' I thought, freaking out a little. I swear I could feel Jacob's smugness and confidence through the pack link when he heard my thoughts. Focusing on my gift to shield my mind now, would be too much of a distraction. One that I can't afford. So he's going to hear all of my thoughts.

Jacob must have seen an opening of some sort, because he lunged at me with speed and precision. Going straight for my throat.

I froze in my tracks. It felt like I was watching him advance towards me in slow motion. I can't let this go on. Simply deflecting or dodging wasn't working. But a head on approach wasn't very successful either. He was getting closer. Just barely a few inches away from touching me. Touching me? What if he couldn't touch me?

Immediately focusing on the coldness I feel when an object goes through my body, I made myself intangible. Causing Jacob to fly straight through me. He was so startled by my action, that he didn't get time to react when I jumped on top of him and pinned him to the ground. This time, holding his fur between my teeth, in a much tighter grip. And, I was using my full vampire strength as well as my wolf strength to keep him in place.

Jacob tried desperately to get out from underneath me. But his attempts were futile. He was beaten. Outmatched. All he could do now, was submit to me. But he seemed much to stubborn to do so. Before I could start applying more pressure to his neck, which would make him feel more pain and subsequently speed up his submission, a loud powerful voice rang out. It was deep, and filled with authority.

"ENOUGH!" A man came out from the trees. He was flanked by a few others. "STOP THIS AT ONCE!" He bellowed.

It took me a moment to adjust my eyes to the dark, enough to recognise his features at least. And what I saw, pissed me the fuck off.

'SAM!' I screeched through the link.
