A/N: Here's your quote for the day!

"Enjoy it while it lasts."

Just kidding!

"Fly, Phoenix, fly."

Trigger Warning: A bit of sexual abuse (comment "kill Nicodemus!")

SOLENE felt the chaotic mana of Perpetua's ancient magic item cease, so she celebrated silently for at last her members would be alright—at least for now.

She could feel the poison coursing through her veins. Nicodemus was petty enough to use the same spell Gelsemium Gas on her in vengeance for what she did back at Hecairo. Right now, not only was her mana sealed, but her body was incapacitated and paralyzed, feeling her muscles and her organs weakening.

Nicodemus looked at his watch. "It's only a matter of time before your heart stops. Your fellow companions must hurry, sweetheart. You're not going to last long."

Her mouth was arid, struggling to formulate her words as purple spots started to appear upon her face. Gritting her teeth she replied, "I-I thought you're g-going to sell me."

"I am." He brushed his beard with his thumb. "But whether alive or not, Morgrim can still do what he wants to you, so it's a win-win situation for me. He gets power, and I get fortune... and I get to kill you."

"Y-You won't be able to k-kill me easily." Glaring at him she inhaled, tightening her chest. "I am a huntress; the conqueror of the wild, and I've dealt with p-poison, more than you've ever known."

Nicodemus gulped. Is she trying to slow down the flow of the poison?

I just need to hold on for a few more minutes. Solene thought as her eyes started to get blurry. But I can't do it for much longer; not if my mana is sealed up.

"You are a stubborn one, aren't you? I like it!" He came to her, tearing her crimson dress. The fabrics ripped, exposing her skin. He tore off her sleeves and the neckline of her dress, revealing her soft collarbone. "Poisoning you isn't enough. Tough girls like you should suffer more. There is another torture you won't like, I'm certain, especially from a pretty princess like you who doesn't want to be touched!"

Solene shrieked in fear, cowering at the thoughts of what Nicodemus might do to her, or to her body. She wanted to fight and resist, yet her limbs wouldn't obey her command, and she could only sit there, hopeless and bound in chains. She closed her eyes as Nicodemus moved and trailed his hands against her smooth lustrous skin; flowing from her cheeks to her chest down to her legs.
