The Great City of Hecairo Pt. 2
"You control your destiny. You don't need magic to do it."
"SOLENE-SAN!" Mimosa exclaimed as Solene shot Nicodemus' minion with her arrow.
She glared at Nicodemus, who was caught off guard. "What do you think you're doing?! I'll let you pay a millionfold for hurting my comrades!"
"What are you staring at? Attack her!" He ordered his comrades.
William writhed in pain on the ground as a hundred bandits attacked Solene all at once, drawing out their swords. But those sharp weapons were no use to the speed and range of her arrow, that even before they could even take ten steps they fell down to the pointy edge of it. Despite such overflowing emotions surging within her, she still kept the precision of her shots, firing straight on their foreheads.
"Nicodemus! We can't reach her, she's too far and high up!" The bandits said.
"I don't care! Even if you all die attacking her, I don't care! Avoid her arrows! Surely, you can outnumber her. The first one to take her head gets the ancient magic item!" Nicodemus fueled the fire on his comrades, who were now running at a fast speed towards her building.
"Everyone! Line up and put your hands up!" Solene shouted.
"Get up, weaklings! This is not the time to wince in pain! Endure it!" Sophia said. "We gotta help Solene or we're all going to die here!"
The members stood feebly, lining up vertically, holding their hands up. With a focused gaze, Solene drew her bowstring taut. She released her arrow, slicing through the wind and hitting the eight members' bonds flawlessly, cutting the ropes. They finally broke free, facing the bandits guarding them.
Meanwhile, William was heavily guarded by Nicodemus himself, unable to move. Nevertheless, he was in his own vintage misery aside from the excruciating pain brought by the poison.
Pathetic. Such a pathetic body. And you call yourself a captain?
Helplessly, William watched his members fight, for him—and for themselves. His eyes caught the fiery archer who emitted a dangerous aura, as she shot the bandits who tried to attack his members. Those who dropped dead on the ground ceased, having their weapons taken.
"Yeah! Now we can fight even without magic!" Klaus said, striking a bandit on its shoulder and legs.
As expected. If that magic item seals all mana within the barrier's range aside from Nicodemus who's holding it, then that means the rest of the bandits have their mana sealed too...
