"WELCOME, my beloved guests."

"Thank you for your warm welcome, my beloved host." David replied as he and Shiren were thrown upwards by the ground, inside a chamber where a tall, muscular man sat on a throne made up of stone. "Should we shake hands, dude? Hug it out?"

Shiren narrowed his eyes to take a better view of the Forsythe in front of him, who only took a moment to realize that he wasn't originally a Forsythe, for he remembered seeing him somewhere before—like last year.

More bandits spawned from the ground as the chamber changed structure.

"In Arandom Village." He muttered.

David glanced at him. "Hmm? What's that, Shiren-san?"

"I've seen you in Solene's village before. We rescued them from your hands, the bandits who attacked them. So you have escaped prison as well." Shiren said. He was part of the team who rescued Solene from the bandits before, along with William. He was also the one who sent the bandits to prison.

"I do not know what on earth you are talking about. But I must introduce myself. I am Marauder Forsythe, handpicked by the Boss to prevent you from retrieving the fiery damsel."

"Oooh! I'm David Swallow! Wanna place a bet? Hmm, let's see. Let's bet on who will win this fight! You... or us?" David told him, his face beaming as he clapped.

Marauder frowned at him. "Do not take me as a joke, David. I am no betting man, so I am going to decline your offer."

"Dude, what's with all the formal talk? Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?" David bantered, making an impression of someone out of a theatrical play; or a film. Yet his humorous attitude didn't match the ferocious man at all, who only deepened his frown even more, and did not waste time by sending dozens of sharp spikes to their way.

Shiren placed a huge shield from his stone magic to defend themselves. "He is totally serious, David, so you should be too."

David pursed his lips like a dog who didn't get its desired treat. "Booo! That's too bad. Why aren't you playing with me? I even have a feeling that my luck is skyrocketing today so—"
