SOLENE found a large wooden box placed on top of her bed. Opening it, her eyes glowed when she saw the majestic uniform of the Golden Dawn: it's signature robe of gold draping down unto her torso, a trimmed fur colored in blue around her hood, a pair of red ropes sliding down from her left shoulder which connected to a golden button on her right shoulder. She lifted it, admiring how pretty the Golden Dawn logo was on the left side of her robe. She wore the long sleeved shirt—which was similar to what the first Wizard King wore—white at the sides and red in the center. There were also additions of gold buttons on its red side, making it more royale. The uniform was a perfect fit to her, but she was a bit uncomfortable to be honest. She wasn't used to wearing this type of clothing as she liked her clothings loose. Still, when she wore her matching pants and put a belt over her shirt, it did quite suit her. Even more when she put on a long red cloak, extending to her ankles. Lastly, her confidence was overflowing—feeling that she was indeed a true Magic Knight, a powerful one that was—when she put on her robe and looked in the mirror.
"Wow." She breathed, turning left and right to see herself from other angles. "I look like a dependable Magic Knight!"
I wonder who put my uniform here though.
"I wonder if this cloak is necessary. I'll probably trip a lot." She muttered, swaying and posing like she was in a fight. Then she paused when she realized...
My cloak... I look the same as Lord William!
She covered her mouth with the back of her hand, as if that would stop her cheeks from flushing pink, or would stop her mind from thinking that. She shook her head hard, shaking the thoughts away.
Must be a coincidence.
She smiled. At least now she wouldn't think about the people discriminating against her because of her upbringing. She looked like a noble now, dressed by the best squad in the kingdom. It felt good. She won't be looked down upon again.
She hurried and fixed herself then went next door again. This time, she knocked three times, waiting for the captain's verbal order of approval to enter. When he finally gave it, Solene twisted the doorknob, entering a room that seemed vastly different than earlier.
"Solene."
Ugh, she remembered that earlier incident again! The embarrassment made her whole body shake and weaken. Her first day as a Magic Knight, and she accidentally slept inside her captain's room? Solene vowed never to drink inside the headquarters again.
"Solene?"
Now that she got a better look at William's bedroom slash office, she realized what the black curtains were for. It was opened now, bringing light from the glass door behind William's desk. Beyond that door was a wide balcony, overlooking the side part of the headquarters and the forest below the hill. Despite it being well lit, the room however seemed dull. Perhaps because it was mostly made of wooden furniture?
