WILLIAM awoke with a smile on his face, opening the doors of his balcony as he felt the breeze from the winds brushing against his skin, and the mellow sound of birds chirping from the trees.
Ahh, what a wonderful day.
He could not stop remembering what happened last night. Taking off his mask, Solene kissing his forehead, the way their breaths fell together.
He looked at his mask on the bedside table.
I guess I don't need to wear it now.
After preparing himself for the day, he even made sure to water the sunflower Solene had given him, humming a low tune, as he faced it towards the sunlight. The flower had grown beautiful day by day, its yellow petals resembling Solene's bright smile. Now, William couldn't stop thinking about her. He had always liked her ever since they were young. Even so, admitting it himself, after all the denial he'd been through, he realized there was no point in avoiding his feelings.
That he was now helplessly in love with Solene Amberdawn, his savior.
"You called for us, captain?"
William snapped back to reality as he turned to the four members: Mimosa, Klaus, Yuno, and Sophia. They pledged their salutes to him, standing with serious, dour faces.
To confess, William would need some help, especially from the ones closest to Solene.
"You see, I have developed romantic feelings for Solene." He said smoothly, as if it was the most natural thing in the universe. "I want to ask her out, but I don't know how. Can you assist me in that matter?"
The four bore different reactions, with Klaus being the most dramatic one of course.
"Pardon me, captain?! I know you are an amazing and well-loved captain, and you are a devoted, earnest, dependable, reliable, responsible Magic Knight that loves serving the kingdom and only the kingdom—but Solene?! H-H-How... YOU LIKE HER?!"
"Calm down, Klaus-san! You're being overly dramatic." Mimosa said, but she looked at William with both shock and hesitation. "I know Yuno and I got carried away with the event last night, but surely we heard what you said correctly, right?"
