We Are Spectra Pt. 2

A/N: I'm so sorry in advance, I can't write a fluff chapter without adding some drama in it lol.

This is the first time I'm going to write something in first person POV. I've always written in third, but I thought that you would feel this chapter more if this is in Solene’s POV completely. Sooo, let's go to her perspective!

"I am a sunflower and you are the center of my sky."

SOLENE’S POV

DEAR MIRA,
How are you and father? I haven't written to you in two months because, well… I've been busy. You know, being an honorable Magic Knight of the Golden Dawn and stuff, fighting bad guys left and right… but rest assured! I am doing well.

Where did we left off last time? I think it was after we saved Hecairo. A lot of things happened between William and I, but I just want to let you know… HE FINALLY CONFESSED TO ME.

And I can still vividly remember that night he confessed, when we were standing alone underneath the moonlit sky and the breeze enveloping us both.

“You already know what my heart says, Solene,” He whispered. “It is not the moment I've been fantasizing about. It's not what I intended it to be. So allow me… after everything is finished, when we can finally be together at peace, allow me… to confess to you properly. Allow me to express my love for you wholeheartedly.”

His confession did not make me sleep after then, even now as I am writing this letter. I'm pretty sure that when I see him again today, I don't think I can rest my heart anymore.

After I set my quill down I sealed the envelope. By the window was a messenger owl that would deliver my letter to my younger sister Mira, back in Arandom Village.

I hoped it reached Mira safely.

The sun shone through the glass window, reflecting on my pupils. Its rays were bright and warm added by the morning breeze, an indicator that the night before had been peaceful. I had quite a blurry memory of what happened last night, but I could still hear the faint echoes in my mind yet at the same time I could hear a lullaby; nurturing and comforting that I felt like I was in heaven. Maybe that was why I was able to sleep soundly afterwards.

I could see the vague form of Lord William’s face as he caressed my cheeks that night, lulling me to sleep.

I also know that I should stay put in my bed and not exert too much energy, but I guess I failed the moment I was close to accidentally setting my room on fire when I woke up—I mean, I was suddenly back at headquarters?

Nevertheless, being back felt like coming home, after all that happened, so what was the point of secluding myself in this boring room?

After all, the ones who could help me the most to recover faster…
