A version of the second Sims game, but with pets, hence the name.
Simulation games aren't my thing, although I gave this one more of a chance than I think I ought to.
While having a simulation game meant for PC on the GameCube is rather novel, especially the "pets" part, I struggled with this one.
Each time I start a new game, regardless of what I do, my character's happiness meter always ends up either halfway gone, or just below.
Another annoying thing is that the game doesn't really explain or show how to let your dogs out to go to the bathroom. There might be some sort of item in the game to alleviate this problem, but I just couldn't find it.
Another issue is one of simulation games in general, and that they, like RPGs, are massive time sinks, and so, if they don't captivate me enough, I shelf them.
Also, given that the later Sims games are pretty much only on PC and are likely vastly superior, this one could be a game for those who want another simulator to add to their collection, especially since this one is rather inexpensive.
Not my type of game, but some will get some milage on this one.
