An action RPG.
Now, this may be an all too forgotten game, but it actually isn't half-bad, besides the time investment.
However, the big issue here slaps you in the face the moment you even try to play the game, as this game is easily one of the jankiest games in this entire list.
Everything about it just feels...wrong, like this is some alpha build or something.
The entire game from the graphics, its controls, to the way you move, what the menus look like, how you traverse the menus, the combat, the camera among other things just feels off, and despite the game running incredibly well with a high frame rate the whole time, it is really the only thing I could say good about how the game plays.
But despite that, this game is mechanically crazy, like shockingly deep.
You see, in addition to fighting enemies in real time with your party, they also drop loot for you to rummage through before switching your equipment and moving on.
The skills each character has is also surprisingly in-depth, with our main protagonist being a necromancer, which is surprising but kind of cool. She can not only heal but also revive teammates, but she could also become an actual monster from the so-called "summons", hence the name.
This other character, whom I can't recall the name of, one who is helping our heroine, this...fish...bandit...woman (sorry, I didn't catch her species) is quite cool as her skills and abilities surround stealth.
There is even one skill that makes her completely invisible to enemies when she is standing still, and others surrounding backstabbing enemies. Really cool stuff.
I...unfortunately couldn't get the farthest into this one since it was another game I got right before I moved into the city, but it is definitely I game I wouldn't mind continuing.
And for an RPG, its price of admission isn't too bad.
If you can get around the wonky appearance of the game, you might just find a gem in here.
