A multiplayer game in the Zelda series.

This game is...fascinating.

First and foremost, this game is likely best with others, but the big bowl of issues is that for each player, you would need a Game Boy Advance and a GameCube Link Cable, which is kind of ridiculous.

However, the game's structure and mechanics complement the multiplayer best, as the single player, in which you don't need a GBA and cable, is good enough, but doesn't sit the best with me.

You see, you can only hold one item at a time, or, each player has one item at a time if you are playing with others, which you get from these pedestals, which doesn't bode well for me, although I would rather have these condensed puzzle boxes as opposed to the classic Zelda formula, which I've already stated I don't really like unless executed well or have some sort of spin on it. As such, this is fine. Some of the levels are actually quite difficult to figure out, as I recall spending over an hour just trying to solve this one stage alone because of how confusing and complicated it was, at least to me. However, a level that really got me stumped is definitely a compliment since it was due to a world puzzle that caught me as opposed to the game just being awful I think.

Although, having to complete the level with a certain amount of force gems is a double-edged sword since it prevents you from just going for the exit, but at the same time, encourages you to interact with the game's levels.

Yes, this game has a stage format instead of an open world.

Well, at least they are not really hiding that fact if you've seen my thoughts on the Zelda games in the C Tier.

The versus mode, Shadow Battle, is okay, although it is pretty much dependent if you got those GBAs or link cables.

Graphically, its fine, but its mishmash of the Wind Waker and A Link to the Past art styles might turn some people off, although, the game runs at 60 FPS the whole time.

And, well, this game is quite expensive when taking everything into account.

Overall, probably the best multiplayer Zelda experience and has a decent enough single player mode, but if you aren't interested or don't have the money, it is really up to you if it's a loss or not.
