A multiplayer version of Pac-Man.
Yes.
You heard me right.
I believe that this is a good game.
Now, this is something that could be considered a hidden gem, so hear me out.
This game is incredibly barebones and could be arguable that it's shallow.
It is so shallow in fact that it doesn't even have a save file. Yes, you could play without a memory card, and it would play exactly the same way.
Also, requiring a Game Boy Advance and a GameCube Link Cable may be a bit too much and not worth it to some.
But it is just some good ol' dumb fun.
If you don't know what this is, it is a game packaged with most copies of Pac-Man World 2 (don't worry, we'll get to that later), and is essentially multiplayer Pac-Man.
The one on the GBA is Pac-Man and can see the whole maze (which there are multiple), while the players on the T.V., the Ghosts, try to stop whoever is Pac-Man from getting the amount of score to win, with whoever catches them becoming Pac-Man themselves for the next round.
That's it, and my gosh, it's just so good.
Sure, there isn't much to it, but not only is this an experience that most people can pick up and play without much issue besides the price of all you would need for the full experience in terms of controllers.
Do you want to communicate with the other Ghosts? Or strike out on your own?
With Mario as an announcer this is an underrated, if one-note multiplayer experience.
Unfortunately, there are quite a few versions of this game available today and you can't play this one alone, but to me, nothing beats sitting in front of a T.V. with my siblings and just vibing for a few rounds of gobbling up fruits and dots or trying to spook whoever is doing that.
