A flight action game based on the Star Wars films, particularly the Original Trilogy.

This is launch game, and for one, its aesthetics are truly exceptional. Not only does it graphically hold up today, but is just a good game based on the property.

Taking out Star Destroyers or parts of the Death Star are obviously cool, and for it all to be running smoothly at 60 FPS is commendable, especially given the low storage size of the GameCube discs. The action isn't half bad, which says a lot given that Star Fox still existed during this time.

However, controversially, I couldn't get into this one, hence its placement. For starters, outside of the campaign, there is little else to do, and difficulty-wise, it is on the higher end, as many missions can be quite easy to fail for even the slightest error, and some objectives or controls are not fully explained to the player, at least at the start.

Still, it is one of the better Rogue Squadron games, and is definitely a highlight within Star Wars video games, and is definitely worth purchasing if you see it, especially given its low price range.
