A game based on the film of the same name.
Me and my siblings are fans of the Lord of the Rings movies, even if I'm less so than them.
However, unlike a later entry, this a solo, action RPG experience, which, given that another Lord of the Rings games has multiplayer, was sort of a missed opportunity.
Does not mess around in terms of challenge, and has great production values, as do all of the console Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings films. Has skills to unlock and is just some good ol' classic hack-and-slash action.
However, like many other licensed games, the plot of the film is more so window dressing than anything else, but hey, fighting as Aragorn and Gimli is still a good time.
Being inexpensive, the games are like the films in a certain way.
Even if the films are quite old, they never really aged at all, did they?
