A compilation of classic Sonic games.

Okay, for one, this game has a limited appeal today. With the Sonic Origins Collection existing and having less content than the PS2 version, there is little reason to play this game. Still, it is at least a novelty.

As for the individual games, well, they aren't half bad. Of course, the original trilogy of Genesis games are fondly remembered and are quite amazing, although the Special Stages, besides maybe Sonic 3's, are legitimately terrible, with Sonic 1 and 2's being too difficult and Sonic 3D Blast's being too easy. Also, I just don't like Sonic SpinBall and Sonic 3D Blast is a bore. Unlocking the bonus games through any other method than entering and immediately exiting is insufferable, and even the fastest method this way is mind-numbingly awful, although the Vector Man games, Flicky, and Knuckles versions of the classic games are really cool, even with better versions existing elsewhere.

Overall, a decent compilation, but one that doesn't have much of a purpose nowadays, even with its rather low price point.
