Every day she was right in front of me, but I didn't know it.

She's really here, and I'm not dreaming.

I kept trying to listen to her heartbeat like a newborn baby. I breathed a sigh of relief.

I kissed her on the forehead and said, "I love you."

Her beautiful, lively black-brown eyes widened before she turned slightly red, looked away, and cleared her throat to change the subject. It hurt my heart a little that she still couldn't feel entirely comfortable with me.

Understandable... given what I said, I deserved an attempt on my life.

I unconsciously clenched my teeth in desperation. She suddenly lifted my head with her fingers, which brushed my chin and gave me goosebumps. When our eyes met and she smiled at me with determination, it was as if the area around us had turned into a vast, fresh spring meadow, and the doves took flight. I froze.

Her grin widened, "I love you too."

Those four words felt like wings for my heart. I kissed her on the mouth and savored it for a few seconds before pulling back.

She looked into my eyes and said softly, "We have to get out."

I nodded, "I trust your plan."

She stood up and extended her hand to help. I stood up too. What I haven't mentioned is that she has changed 360 degrees.

She is thinner, leaner, with defined muscles. Her presence is overwhelming, and above all... she has become incredibly strong in such a short time.

My heart raced, and I smiled at her as she stood with her back to me, taking it all in. She is already among the special grade jujutsu sorcerers... She snapped her fingers and then took my hand, "Get ready."

I grinned, "Gladly, darling.

She abruptly looked at me and laughed, "Thanks, honey."

Step by step, I will make everything right again. Every single mistake. I will feel her, touch her, caress her, kiss her, talk with her for hours, watch the moon with her, and remember every detail.

She closed her eyes, and I immediately felt the power of neutralization flow through the area. It was enormous but not overpowering.

For me, it would only weaken my infinity, but for others, it would be a very dangerous technique. That means she will always be in danger...

I gritted my teeth in anger and pressed her against me.

I will protect you at all costs...

The skeletons trembled, vibrated, clattered. The room grew smaller and smaller until we had to curl up together. We looked at each other, smiling and holding hands, and bam.

She was thrown to one side, and I to the other. We quickly got up.

My heart sank, and from her expression, I could tell she felt the same.

We were in the middle of Shibuya... No, this is no longer Shibuya... This is a war zone.

All the buildings were destroyed, debris scattered on the ground, the stench of blood filled the air, and the cloud of destruction covered the sun so heavily that it felt like night. Body parts were scattered around. An arm in front of me. I hissed in anger.

She came to me, surprisingly calm at the sight before her, as if she almost didn't care anymore, "Apparently, time and space passed differently than in the real world."

I looked over the chaos again and nodded, "I thought so too because all this couldn't have happened in such a short time."

She ran her hand through her hair in stress and looked at me, "Do you feel the presence of the others?"

I nodded and then froze, "Wait... no... impossible!"

She turned completely to me, worried, "What is it?!"

My heart sank to the ground, "That one presence... Megumi..."

I immediately took her hand and teleported us to the scene. I decided to go to Yuji first.

In the midst of his fight with a monster, Yuji turned, shocked. "Gojo-sensei!"

His eyes shifted to her, and he dropped his raised fists, eyes widening. "No..."

I looked at her, seeing her eyes well up. They quickly approached each other and embraced tightly.

Yuji cried out, "Kanna-sensei, you're alive!"

Kanna looked so sad. "I'm so sorry..."

Yuji shook his head, still crying, and released her, looking happy.

I smiled at both of them.

I turned to Yuji, serious. "What happened?"

The monster attacked, and Kanna simply raised her hand, turning it to ash.

Yes, she really has become stronger.

Yuji's eyes widened. "Wow..." He shook his head and looked at me. He had changed too. How much time has passed?

He took a deep breath. "The thing is..."
