The day had arrived. My attendants dressed me in the yukata, styled my hair, and prepared me for the ceremony. I would see her there for the first time. I climbed into the limousine, my leg bouncing impatiently.
Was I nervous? Me, nervous? It's not even a real marriage.
The car drove off. After some time, we arrived at the shrine. The car door was opened for me, and I stepped out. The sun shone brightly, illuminating everything as if on purpose.
I looked up and enjoyed it until Yuji called out, "Gojo-sensei, come on in!"
I grinned broadly at him. He went inside, and I followed. On either side, the guests I had invited stood up and clapped. They all smiled, though I knew some of them were seething with hate. Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi were at the front. Yaga clapped and smiled, almost shocked, Nanami in a suit cleared his throat and smiled slightly, Utahime looked away, Shoko in a dress with a cigarette in her mouth waved at me, and all the other major families were present.
The shrine was decorated entirely in white. Then my eyes fell on her. She stood there with her back turned. My heart raced. I walked forward, feeling as if the ground beneath me was about to give way. I reached the front and stood beside her. She looked at me, and my heart pounded.
She was stunning. Traditional clothing suited her perfectly. I held my breath for a moment. She grinned and stuck her tongue out slightly. I grinned back and looked forward again.
The man before us, an elderly man in a white suit, spread his arms. The room grew quiet. She would be my wife. I swallowed.
In a friendly voice, he began, "I hereby open the ceremony for the marriage between Gojo Satoru and Kanna Mori, uniting the two most powerful families in a pact of joy!"
I noticed her tense slightly at the name Mori.
He gestured to me, "Gojo Satoru, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, do you take Kanna Mori as your wife?"
I took a deep breath and replied firmly, "Yes!"
The crowd behind us cheered.
He then gestured to her, "Kanna Mori, do you take Gojo Satoru as your husband?"
The tension thickened. She was silent for a moment, then looked up and swallowed hard. I looked at her, confused. Just as she was about to speak, the shrine door burst open. Everyone turned in shock, including us. My eyes widened.
Mori... She took a step back, trembling slightly.
He stood there, hands behind his back, his men behind him, and shouted firmly, "I do not approve of this!"
Everyone gasped. I grinned. I love provoking people. Before I could do anything, she stepped forward, her clothing rustling softly, her hands elegantly placed before her. My eyes widened at her complete transformation. They looked at each other. The guests glanced back and forth between them.
