It's complicated

Evi:
The boys have been on tour for two weeks now and the feeling of him not being here hurts more everyday.
Fortunately, Kim and Alicia are here to provide the necessary distraction. Tonight we're going to the club and staying the night at Kim's.
I close my laptop and walk out of my room.
I still can't believe Kim moved here too! And luckily, Alicia and Kim also get along quite well.
I walk downstairs quickly.
"Hi, dad," I walk over to him and look over his shoulder. "What are you doing?"
"There's a report due tonight and there were some problems."
I nod. "So you have to solve it on your day off?"
"Sorry honey, I really need to concentrate."
I shake my head, walk towards the fridge and take out a bottle of water. Mom is also at work and Nick is at Jessy's. I take a big sip of my water and walk back upstairs to my room.
I put on some music and choose an outfit for tonight.
I choose black shorts and a simple top and combine it with my white sneakers.
The top fits nicely on my body and shows a small part of my belly. I look for matching jewelry and put them on the bed with my outfit.
I hear my phone buzzing and see a message from Bill.

Bill: Skype? xx

I throw my phone down on the bed and quick open my laptop. I open Skype and immediately press call when I see a green dot next to Bill's name.
In the meantime, I sit down on my chair and wait for Bill to answer.
"Bill!" I say enthusiastically with a big smile on my face, that immediately turns into a frown when I see him.
"Hi." Bill says with a small, somewhat unsure smile on his face. "What do you think of my hair?"
"Uhm," I stutter for a moment and stare at his new haircut. "Good. I didn't know you were going to cut it."
"I cut it for the first concert."
I look at him with a big smile and gently shake my head. Typical for Bill to do something so impulsive right before a concert.
"Was David angry?"
Bill shrugs his shoulders. "Just for a little while."
I've spoken to Bill via message and on the phone, but this is the first time we've Skyped since they've left.
The first two weeks were super busy.
So busy, that they even had to celebrate their birthday between interviews.
"I think it is beautiful." I say and look at him lovingly.
Seeing him on the screen makes me only miss him more. The fact that I can see him but not touch him makes me crazy.

We continue talking about the tour for a while and way too soon it's time for Bill to go. They have a concert tonight and will soon start the sound check.
I close my laptop with a soft thud and stand up from my desk. I walk to the bathroom to take a quick shower and then start doing my make-up and hair.
I quickly walk back to my room in only my underwear and put on the clothes that I put on the bed earlier, followed by my jewelry.
I take my phone from the bed and quickly send Bill a message to wish him good luck for the show tonight.
Alicia will pick me up here and then we will drive to Kim's house together. From there we well walk to the club, it's not that far away.
I put on my sneakers, take a small bag that barely fits my phone and some money and walk downstairs.

We arrive at the club and after waiting for a while we can finally go inside.
All three of us order a cocktail and we walk onto the dance floor. It's still early and that is also reflected in the lack of people on the dance floor.

Two hours and a few drinks later, the dance floor has become a lot more crowded.
A few guys already tried to make a move on Kim, but to my surprise she turns them down every time, which is not really her habit.
Alicia is standing a little further, flirting with a slightly older man who I have never seen before and somehow I am glad that Kim is not going that way this evening.
Kim pushes yet another drink into my hands and pulls me towards the restroom.
She also pushes her drink into my hands and then disappears into the toilet booth.
A few seconds later she comes back out and puts on new lipstick.
"Haven't seen anyone you like yet?"
She shrugs. "What happened to 'I'll find someone who's worth it in Germany'?"
She looks at me from the mirror and then turns to me. "I haven't seen anyone worth it yet."
She looks at me with a small grin on her face.
"But who knows, the later in the evening, the nicer the people, right?" She takes a drink from my hands and pulls me behind her towards the dance floor.
We stand at a table and two guys immediately join us. One immediately starts talking to Kim while the other turns to me so that he is standing between me and Kim. "Evi, right?"
I frown at him, trying to remember who this is and how he knows my name.
"Is your boyfriend not here today?"
"I don't have a boyfriend." I say somewhat hesitatently.
"Right, it was complicated."
Hearing that sentence brings back memories. "Mitch?"
He looks at me with a grin.
"Looks like that boyfriend of yours isn't going to bother us this time."
I roll my eyes and turn away from him.
In response he grabs my upper arm and I glare at him.
"We still have something to finish." The grin on his face grows and he pulls me with him. I pull my arm out of his grip and walk towards Kim at a fast pace.
"Time to go, Kim." She looks at me questioningly.
"Mitch.." I say and she immediately looks past me towards Mitch. She walks past me and walks over to him.
They have a brief conversation, with many gestures from Kim, and eventually he walks away.
The other boy follows him obediently and Kim comes back to me. I look at her questioningly and she takes a long sip of her drink.
"They're not going to bother us anymore." She says confidently.
