Evi:
"Well, you have to take a pregnancy test." Alicia says and my heart starts to race by the possibility of being pregnant. "Did you buy a test already?"
I shake my head. "No."

"Well, lucky for you, I have pregnancy tests laying around everywhere." She starts rummaging through her bag.

"Why do you have a test in your purse?" I look at the oblong box she holds in front of me.
"I'm a little paranoïd and anxious about getting pregnant. So whenever I start to feel anxious I wanna be able to do a test."

I stare at the box in her hand and slowly move my hand towards it, taking it from her hand.

When the doorbell rings I walk towards the door at a fast pace.
When I open the door I see Bill and Tom standing infront of me.

"Hi?" I say, a little surprised.
They say nothing and just stare at me. I notice their eyes wandering to my shirt before they look at each other. "What? Is something wrong? Do I have something on my shirt?" I look down at my shirt and then look at them again.

"Are you okay? You look a little pale." I say looking at Tom. It's like he's seen a ghost.
"Can we come in?" Bill asks in a soft voice.
I nod and step aside to let them pass.

"Is anyone gonna tell me what's going on?"
I look at them as we stand in the living room.
They look at each other and I can feel the tension in the room growing.

I try to make eye contact with Bill, but he avoids my gaze.
"Bill?" I try to get his attention.
He keeps looking at Tom while they are both making faces at each other.

"BILL!" I yell. "Look at me!"
They both look at me, panick noticible on there faces. "What's going on?"
"We just wanted to, uhm, to.." Bill stutters.
"We, uhm, you are, uhm, are you?" Tom stammers and looks at me questioningly.

"Am I what?"
They both look at each other and I roll my eyes in annoyance. "Am I what?" I repeat myself.
"Uhm," Bill turns his head again, looking into my eyes.

"And what happened with your face?" I look at Tom, only now noticing the bruises on his cheek and eye socket.

"You are pregnant." Bill blurts out.
It takes a few seconds before the words get to me and I immediately understand why they are acting so nervous.
"I am not pregnant! Oh my god. How did you even know?"

"You're not? Are you sure?" Bill looks at me a little concerned yet relieved.
"Yes, I'm sure!"
They both sigh in relief and I can't suppress a laugh. "Who told you tho? I only told Alicia."

Bill and Tom exchange a look but say nothing.
"Are you gonna tell me what happened to your face?" I look at Tom with a demanding look on my face. "It doesn't matter." Is all he says and puts a little smile on his face.

Even when they don't say anything, it doesn't take me long to put two and two together.

Bill and Tom both left and I'm in my room, waiting for Nick to come home.
I haven't heard from him all day, but I'm sure he will come straight to my room when he gets home.
I sit at my desk, scrolling on my laptop while music is playing in the background.

I hear a little knock on the door but before I can answer, Nick comes in.
"You know, when you knock you can at least wait for an answer." I say, a little annoyed.

He walks towards me, kneeling down next to me.
"Are you okay?"
I nod.
"You know you can tell me anything, right? You're my sister."

I look at him and see a worried look on his face.
"I promise, I'm fine."
He looks at me intently.
"I'm not.." I say, almost whispering.
"You're not?"

I shake my head and he sighs deeply while he lowers his head and shuts his eyes.
"Did you fight with Tom?"
He looks up again, looking into my eyes.
"I saw the bruises..." I continue.

"They need to leave you alone." He says firmly.
"I can take care of myself you know."
"Apparently you can't."
I roll my eyes and turn myself away from him.
"They didn't force me, I'm old enough to make decisions for myself."

"Are you? Since when did you become a slut?"
"What?! Get out!" I yell. "Leave me alone!"
Without saying anything else he gets up and leaves my room, slamming the door behind him.

Tom:
"I'm going to tell Evi. She has to know. I'm tired of lying."
"Maybe you should talk to Bill first?"
I shake my head. "No, if Evi knows things will be different."
"Different how?"

I shurg my shoulders. "I don't know. When she knows why Bill did what he did, maybe she can forgive him."
Leen looks at me, a little doubtful.

"Maybe you should talk to Bill first?"
I shake my head. "It's better if he doesn't know yet. I'm scared he will fuck it up before we can actually fix it."

"Okay. You tell Evi, but then what?"
"I don't know.." I mumble, lost in my thoughts.
"I'll let you know, but I have to go now."
"Okay." She nods.

"Let me know how it went."
"I will." I put a quick kiss on her cheek before I leave her house and drive back home.

I park my car in front of our house and walk towards Evi's house.
Instead of ringing the doorbell I send her a quick message. I don't wanna take the risk of Nick answering the door.

It takes only a few seconds before Evi opens the door. "Can we talk?"
