Evi:
I hear a soft knock on the door and I roll my eyes. Knowing damn well it's Nick on the other side.
"What?!" I yell when he knocks again and he opens the door.

He stands in the doorway, a little awkwardly for a few seconds before he walks inside.

"Sorry I called you a slut. I didn't mean it." He says with a soft voice and I look up from my laptop. "I'm just worried about you."
"No need to." I say and look away, fixating my eyes on the screen again.

"I just don't want someone to use you for-" He stops talking when I look at him and sighs deeply.
"No one is using me." I say firmly.
"I understand why you had sex with Bill, he was your boyfriend, but why Tom?"

"You really wanna discuss your sister's sex life?" I say a little surprised.
He shrugs his shoulders. "Not really. I just want you to know that you can always talk to me. Even when it's about.. this."

"I know. But don't worry, I'm not having sex with anyone anymore."
He looks at me with a little smile.
"I have to go, I have a date."

The smile on his face get a little brighter as he says these words.
"A date?" I say a little surprised but happy for him. "Who is the lucky girl?"
He shakes his head. "I'm not telling you, yet."

He leaves my room, closing the door behind him.

I run downstairs when I hear the doorbell ringing.
When I open the door I see Tom standing in front of me.
"Can we talk?"
"Uhm, yeah sure."

We walk inside the living room and I look at him questioningly.
"Is anyone else home?" He asks me.
I shake my head. "No, Nick just left and my parents won't be home for at least an hour."

He nods and I notice he is a little bit nervous.
"If it's about me thinking I was pregnant, I'm definitely not."
"It's not about that." He says while shaking his head.

"It's about Bill." He mumbles. "And Brenda."
I look at him weirdly. "What about them?"
"Bill, uhm, Brenda-" He stammers.

He tells me everything that happened,
how Bill actually didn't wanna be with Brenda, but how Brenda is forcing him by threatening to hurt Tom.

So that's what he meant when he said he couldn't break up with her? I think to myself.

"Bill doesn't know that I know or that you know."
"Why did you tell me before talking to him?"

He shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know. I wanna fix this. I just don't know how to."
"I need to talk to him." I say, already walking towards the front door.

Tom grabs my arm, causing me to stop walking. "Bill is not home."
I look at him and he let's go of my arm.
"He's with-"
"with Brenda." I finish his sentence.

He nods and I feel tears forming in my eyes.
"You should go." I say as I turn around to walk upstairs.
"Evi.."
"Just go, Tom!" I run upstairs and go straight to my room.

When Tom left I went back downstairs.
I sit down on the couch next to the window, staring outside, waiting for Bill to come home.

A car stops in front of their house, Brenda's car. Bill gets out of the car and I see him saying something to Brenda before he starts walking towards the front door of his house.

I wait a few minutes before I send him a message.

Evi: Are you home?

It takes only a few second before Bill answer my text.

Bill: I just got home.

I stare at the screen and gently bite my lower lip.
I'm not sure how to react to his answer to my text and keep staring at my screen for a while.

Maybe I should just go to his house? It's literally next door.

I walk outside the house, through the front door and close it behind me.
I stand infront if his house and stare at the door for a while before I ring the doorbell.

A nervous feeling rushes through my body.
What will I say to him? What will he say?
What if Tom is wrong and Bill does actually like Brenda? Or even loves her?

My thoughts get interrupted by Bill opening the door. "We need to talk." I say before he has a chance to say something himself.

He let's me in and we walk inside the living room.
"Is anyone else home?" I look at him briefly and I feel my heart beating in my chest.

"No," he says softly. "What do you wanna talk about?"
"I know." I say and look into his eyes.
"You know what?" He looks at me with a little, slightly awkward, smile on his face.

"I know why you broke up with me." I say softly, my heart racing wildly in my chest like it's going to escape from my body.

The smile on his face disappears and he looks away. "Why did I?" He asks me, making sure we are talking about the same thing.
"Because Brenda made you."

"How do you know?" I see slight panic on his face as he says these words.
"Tom told me."
"Tom knows?! Tom is not supposed to know! YOU are not supposed to know!" He slightly raises his voice in panic and I walk closer to him.

I grab his hand with mine and gently caress his hand with my thumb. "It's okay, Bill. It will be okay."

It stays quiet for a what seems like hours, but ib reality it's only been a few seconds.
"Maybe she's bluffing? I don't think she will actually go that far." I break the silence.
"Do you love her?" I continue, locking my eyes with his.

He shakes his head.
"I don't." He whispers with a soft voice.
"Did you ever love her?"
"I though I did, until I met you. I never loved her the way I love you."

He pulls me closer to him and I wrap my arms around him, hugging him thightly.
"Can you forgive me?" He whispers in my ear.
"I already did." I say, tears burning in my eyes.

"Do you still love me?" He whispers in my ear.
"I never stopped loving you." I whisper as I press a kiss on his cheekbone.
