Ch. 42: She's Back!

It's been one week since the tornado happened and Marie being in the hospital It's game night in the cafeteria everybody is in there Officer Stewart and Marie are towards the cafeteria

'Everybody will be happy to see you' Officer Stewart

'Oh trust me I have heard' Marie says

'Especially Kaz ever since you got hurt she hasn't been the same since than' Officer Stewart says, Marie looks at him

'How so?' Marie asks

'She's been quiet and to herself she hasn't really soical with anybody anymore' Officer Stewart says

'Hmmm, sounds like separation anxiety to me' Marie says

'Probably, well here we are' Officer Stewart says, they stop at the cafeteria doors

'Yup, here we are' Marie says, Officer Stewart opens the door

'Thank you' Marie says, as she walks in

'You're welcome' Officer Stewart, he stands beside her

Everybody stops what they are doing and looks at them Kaz is sitting against the wall reading a book and she notices how quiet it got and she looks up most of the people in front of her are pointing towards the front to get Kaz's attention Kaz looks at where they are pointing at and she sees Marie standing there

'Ok I knew I was popular but not for anything good but I didn't know that I was this famous' Marie says, they laugh

'Alright listen up, Marie wants to give you an update on her medical condition since most of you were worried about her!' Officer Jackson yells

'Marie has a big gash on her forehead on the right corner of her forehead she has fifteen stitches, a concussion that has turned into a headache, a few crack ribs, that's all, please continue your game night!' Officer Jackson yells

Almost everybody goes back to game night Marie looks to right and sees Kaz sitting on the floor she walks up to her

'Hey' Marie says, Kaz looks at her

'Hey' Kaz says

'May I sit down?' Marie asks, Kaz smiles

'Of course you can' Kaz says, Marie gently sits down beside her

'How are you feeling?' Kaz asks

'A lot of pain' Marie says

'You can go back to your cell to rest' Kaz says

'I know but I wanted to see you first' Marie says

'I'll tell you what let me finish this chapter and you go to your cell to rest, deal' Kaz says, Marie smiles

'Mother Kaz is officially here' Marie says, Kaz chuckles

'Shut up, get going' Kaz says

Marie slowly but surely gets up and leaves, Kaz reads the rest of her chapter then gets up and leaves

Marie sits down on her bed then Kaz walks in

'How bad is your headache?' Kaz asks, she sits down beside her

'Not as bad as my ribs' Marie says

'Here lay down' Kaz says, Marie lays down

'You took care of me when I was sick, now it's my turn to return the favor' Kaz says, Marie smiles

'How's your gash on your head?' Kaz asks

'It's not good, it's a pretty deep gash, they wanted me in the hospital for that long because they want to make sure I didn't suffer any brain damage' Marie says

'That's why I wanted you out of the cafeteria because it's too loud in there for you' Kaz says

'Yeah, you're probably right, I just wanted to see if you were ok' Marie says, Kaz smiles

'I am now' Kaz says, she kisses Marie

'Sorry that's only what he can do in the meantime' Kaz says

'Oh don't worry, I can tell my body needs a lot more rest' Marie says

'Do you remember what happened before hitting the wall?' Kaz asks

'Yeah I do actually' Marie says

'Ok tell me what happened from the beginning' Kaz says

'I remember trying to get Boomer and Lizzie to the tornado shelter and I got Lizzie there but Boomer some kind of problem and when we finally got to the tornado shelter and Boomer got to the shelter and I was at the end of the building I was having trouble walking because of the wind and I told Boomer to get inside and she hesitated at first but eventually she did go in, some how I got on the other side of the building and then the wind blew towards the building I tried to brace myself for the impact but I couldn't before I knew it I hit the wall, then I remember I woke up a little to you touching my arm and someone picking me up after that I went unconscious again' Marie says

'Where were you guys at?' Kaz asks

'Inside but in different parts of the prison' Marie says

'That's why it you guys a lot longer to get us' Kaz says

'Yeah, I'm sorry to hear about Tina and the other inmates' Marie says

'Yeah, H4 is holding a memorial service for her tomorrow night, if you don't feel like coming to it I think they will understand' Kaz says

'All I can do is try to be anywhere unless my body says otherwise' Marie says, Kaz smiles

'They are still looking for a new top dog, nobody wants to do it' Kaz says

'Cherry li is probably going to take over' Kaz says

'Yeah, well you better keep a close eye on that one' Marie says

'Guys!' Boomer says, as she runs in, they look at her

'Sorry to interrupt but I have good news and bad news' Boomer says

'What's the bad news?' Marie asks

'Oh unfortunately Cherry li is the one who died' Boomer says

'Oh geez' Kaz asks

'And the good news?' Marie asks

'Tina is still alive' Boomer says

'Are you sure?' Kaz asks, she gets up and stands in front of her

'Yeah Officer Miles just told everybody in the cafeteria' Boomer says

'Truth be told, I rather have Tina as top dog then Cherry li' Marie says

'Why is that?' Boomer asks, they look at her

'Because she gets drugs in here' Marie says, Boomer and Kaz looks at each other

'Ok we will worry about that later, I just want you to get heal up' Kaz says, she sits down beside Marie

'Thank you for saving me from the tornado' Boomer says, as she walks up to them, Marie smiles

'I just remember what kind of problem that you had but I'll just keep that to myself for the time being' Marie says, Kaz looks at Boomer

'Yeah I gotta go' Boomer says

Boomer runs out of Marie's cell and Marie starts laughing but in pain

'Ow' Marie says

'Ok, ok, take it easy there, I don't need you to start bleeding in the inside now' Kaz says, calming Marie down

'Sorry, I'll tell you once my ribs heals up' Marie says, Kaz smiles

'Fair enough' Kaz says

'Can you lay with me?' Marie asks, Kaz smiles

'Of course I will' Kaz says

She gets up and turns the light then lays down beside Marie on the right side and puts her down on Marie's chest and they both shuts their eyes and eventually they fall asleep, now Kaz finally relax since her soul mate is back where she belongs at in her arms
