Ch. 53: Mystery Plan?

Marie is walking down a hallway with a white band-aid wrapped around her right hand called tough wrap. Zara is standing outside of H1 unit, keeping guard because they are having a little party as Marie walks up to her

'Hey' Marie says, Zara looks at her

'Hey, what the hell happened to you' Zara asks

'Oh someone left a knife in the sink, and I didn't know it was in there, and I cut my hand' Marie says

'You ok, though, right?' Zara asks

'Yeah, just some stitches' Marie says

'Some?' Zara asks, Marie looks at her

'Ok, fine, twenty stitches' Marie says

'Damn, you're going to be out of action for awhile' Zara says

'What kind of mood is my girlfriend in?' Marie asks

'So far in a good mood' Zara says

'Well, I better tell her what happened and get it over with' Marie says

'Good luck' Zara says

'Yeah, thanks,' Marie says, Zara chuckles

Marie walks in the unit, and everybody looks at her

'What happened to you?' Allie asks, as she walks up to her

'Is Kaz around?' Marie asks

'Right here, love,' Kaz says, she walks out of her cell

She sees Marie's hand and walks up to her, gently takes Marie's hand, and looks at it

'Someone left a knife in the sink, and I didn't know it, I cut my hand pretty bad and deep' Marie says

'How many stitches?' Reb asks

'Twenty' Marie says

'Wow, that's a lot of stitches' Lou says

'Come on, sit down' Kaz says, Marie sits down at the table

'I don't know why, but I feel like this wasn't no accident' Marie says

'You mean you think someone did this to you on purpose' Mandy says

'Yeah' Marie says

'How so?' Kaz asks, she sits down at the head of the table

'When I was walking into the kitchen, Spike was walking out of the kitchen' Marie says

'Wait you don't think Spike had any to do with your hand getting hurt?' Bea asks, as she stands across from Marie

'Yes and no, yes, because I think someone made her do it, and no, because I know that she didn't want to do it, she knows what I'm capable of doing' Marie says

'Maybe that's why' Lou says

'You mean the other girls are planning something big, and that's why they temporarily took Marie out' Lizzie says

'Yeah, because everyone knows how Marie works and their plan does leak out to Marie, she might stop it from happening' Lou says

'And make a better one' Allie says

'Actually, I'm not going to do that' Marie says

'Whatever happens them will be on them, not you' Kaz says

'Yeah, I mean why should I get involved if it's not my plan to begin with' Marie says

'I would say just go about your business pretend that you don't hear from the others and make them think that you don't care what they are doing, which you don't of course then report back to us that way we have a heads up' Reb says

'Then they probably think that I'm cooking up something if I'm become too quiet' Marie says

'If they say anything about you being quiet, just say that you're trying to figure out who put the knife in the sink' Bea says

'Yeah, that could work. Anyway, why are you guys throwing this little party?' Marie asks

'Because we're bored' Mandy says

'And it's raining today so we can't go outside' Lou says, Marie starts thinking

'What are you thinking about?' Kaz asks

'I just had an image in my head about yesterday' Marie says

'What was it?' Allie asks

'I remember seeing Joan, Juice, and Stella talking to Spike in the yard yesterday' Marie says

'Now it all makes sense' Bea says

'I'm not following' Boomer says

'It means that Joan and them probably told Spike to put that knife in the sink for Marie to get hurt with it' Kaz says

'And I have an idea to see if they really did that to me' Marie says

'Like what?' Kaz asks

'Oh, don't worry, it's not going to be bad' Marie says

'With you, I'm always worried' Kaz says, they laugh and goes back to their little party

Later that night, in the kitchen after dinner, Zaina, May, Kaz, Marie, Spike, and Joan are in there cleaning up

'How's your hand doing?' Kaz asks

'It's throbbing a little bit' Marie says

'Yeah, what did happened to your hand?' Zaina asks

'Oh someone put a knife in the sink and I didn't know then I cut my hand pretty bad' Marie says

'Twenty stitches' Kaz says, Zaina shakes her head

'Why would someone do that?' Zaina asks

'Well I don't think they meant any harm maybe they was just in a hurry' Marie says

Joan and Spike looks at each other, and May looks at them, then goes back to looking at Marie and them

'You're not going to get back at them, are you?' Kaz asks

'I mean I don't see why I should, maybe they have a big plan going on and they don't want me to ruin it because I'm basically the master of fantastic plans' Marie says, Spike and Joan looks at each other

'And they do work too' May says, they laugh

'The only time that I will get involved if they ask for help or advice, and that's it' Marie says, Kaz looks around the kitchen

'That's not a bad idea' Zaina says

'Alright ladies, everything looks clean, I think we go back to our units now' Kaz says

'Thank god' Zaina says, they laugh

First Joan and Spike leaves in a hurry, then Zaina and May leaves normally, Kaz walks up to Marie

'You are right, they did do it' Kaz says

'Why am I not surprised' Marie says

'But we just need to figure out what and when' Kaz says

'My hand May be out of action for awhile, but my hearing isn't' Marie says, Kaz chuckles and kisses her, then hugs her

'I'm just glad it wasn't anything too serious' Kaz says

'I thought about that too' Marie says

Kaz stops hugging her and looks at her

'What if it was a setup to actually kill me' Marie says

'They put that knife in there to hide, but they didn't expect you to wash the dishes instead and you ruin their plan' Kaz says

'Or another thought maybe it wasn't meant for me but for someone else' Marie says

'Well, like I said before, I think it's going to be one of those plans that we have watch unfold step by step' Kaz says

'Looks that way' Marie says

Marie can tell that this is worrying Kaz a lot, she kisses Kaz and hugs her, Kaz smiles and hugs her back, they stay like that for a couple of minutes then they leave the kitchen and goes back to H1
