Deepthi:
It's been three weeks since I saw him last. Why isn't he messaging me? Is that because I hinted that it could be a no? Or is it because he started to ignore me, so he could think I would come back to him?
This time, I don't take the initiative. I mean, he could have asked or at least messaged me about my decision, but no. Why does he have to ask me every time, leaving me in confusion? Did he set boundaries with me? But should I accept him or not? Will that affect my family or anything?
No. I shouldn't choose him because of the external factors. But, he hasn't pulled off his double face till now. Maybe, he's changed. Or is he waiting for the time to reveal his other personality? Shut up, why would he do that, if he got enough chances to leave me alone, where I was fighting with my own problems?
Should I give him a chance this time? Can I trust him? Maybe I can get to know more about him!! Then I can decide if he actually changed or switched back to his older self. What if, whatever he said at the beach was true, that he actually loved me?
Uff. God......I feel so overwhelmed with this bipolar idiot.
What should I do?"
As she was busy with her thoughts, a doorbell brought her back to this world. When she opened, she saw Kartheeka, who was holding groceries.
"Knocked the wrong door, I guess?"
"Just shut up, Deepu. Where have you kept your mobile? I've been calling you for an hour. A friend like you always seems like living in a jungle, didn't respond to a call, didn't reply to a message. You in your own world, huh?"
"I am wandering in my thoughts, so I didn't check the mobile. Now, what happened?"
"I will throw you into the nearest garbage right now. Didn't we agree to cook together, as you are leaving for your hometown?"
She asked, coming inside, placing them in the kitchen.
"I am sorry. I am so distracted and-."
"About Parthiv?"
"Well, a little bit."
"Something's off between you two, isn't it? After the night, you both went to the beach, and you haven't spoken normally. What happened there?"
"Beach? So you knew this? I thought you were asleep. When did you find out this?"
"It was me who suggested this idea. One day, when he called me to help him as he wanted to talk to you and wanted to sort out few things, I suggested visiting your home. Since he was busy, he went out of town and suggested that it would be okay if we planned a trip. That's how the entire thing went, and it was my idea to gift you those anklets instead of a ring. I was waiting for you to open up. But you broke our promise, that you shouldn't keep any secrets between us. Now, when I look back, it's always me who loves to be with you and protecting our friendship. But you, distanced me and kept so much gap between us."
"No, Karthee. You are like my sister from another mother." She hugged her, continuing
"How can I ignore you? I was struggling with some issue, I don't know if it exists anymore, but I was still stuck with it in my mind and don't know whom to share it with."
Kartheeka, break the hug, "I swear, I don't judge you. But you have to tell me what happened exactly."
With this, she nodded, and they both cooked their favorite dishes together, and Deepthi explained her past with him while eating.
"So, is that the reason you always avoided him from day one? I thought you were scared to treat him, as he is the V.C. I was a dummy, whose brain works amazingly at the times when needed, and guess what, it never works." She chuckled at her own joke.
