P: "What I meant was, me, Kartheeka, her family, and friends, we all are here for her, so no need to worry."
Pankaj and Meena frowned at his words but didn't utter a single word.
R: "Parthiv, that's enough. We don't want to add to your responsibilities."
K: "Uncle, if you are here, your health will worsen, so please don't say no."
S: "How difficult could it be for you and your mother, Kartheeka? You have already done so much, and we don't want to trouble any of you here."
P: "It's not at all trouble, Aunt. Deepthi is that person who is close to our heart and in our lives, and we are here to help her in every way we can."
R: "She will do fine till now. How will you all take care when she discharges?"
P: "I will hire a cook and a caretaker who will look after her all the time."
K: "There is no need to hire a cook, either. My mom is there, and she stays most of the time with her, and I will try to adjust my shifts to her convenience, which is not a problem."
P: "Also, her friends are there to check now and then, and I will visit her whenever I can."
PJ: "Rajiv, it's not that they say, but come with us. We will take care of you, as I know how it feels to be a father and see your child suffering from a problem that you can't solve. I didn't stay for more than 1 week continuously when Parthiv was being treated, because I couldn't see him like that. So, I purposefully stayed away, because I didn't have the courage Meena had. I can understand what you are going through, as we have been there once. So trust me, you both will heal when you stay at a safe distance from each other."
Rahul: "Yes, Dad, it's not that we are leaving her alone. As Parthiv and Kartheeka said, they will do some arrangement for Deepu, and I believe she will be taken great care of. Moreover, we are not burdening them too much, as a caretaker will be there for her all the time. If you still have any doubts, I will visit her place every weekend, so we can determine whether we should bring her to Pune or let her heal here. Please agree to this plan."
After being convinced by everyone, he finally agreed, and they planned to depart on Sunday. On the other side, Deepthi's arm was still bandaged, and doctors postponed her knee surgery to observe how much pain she would experience when she started to walk. Her dressing on the forehead, palm, and toes is changed periodically, and she can hardly take steps as of now.
That day has finally arrived. They packed up everything and were about to leave. Kartheeka brought Deepthi in a wheelchair to the entrance where everyone was busy talking.
PJ: "Parthiv, I need you to visit home. Once she recovers, and you know what I will discuss. Prepare your reason and make sure that you answer my questions and inform us about your final decision as well. If by any chance, it's going to be late, either you have to come or I will. Remember, that you have to bear every consequence for whatever you decide."
P: "Sure, Dad. But as I requested, never discuss this before her family. I will talk to you once everything is sorted here, and I will take accountability for everything I made, and I will tell you what happened exactly."
R: "Deepu, sorry for leaving you behind. Take care and call us twice a day, as I can't be peaceful wherever I am if you are facing a problem. No matter how the circumstances are turned into uneven, just call me once, and Rahul will bring you back. As we can't blame anyone here, if your parents couldn't stay with you, but that gives you no reason to take any pain. Please, don't suffer in silence. I am still alive."
