Ragini disconnected the call and put her mobile on the nightstand. He sounded strangely worried even though he tried to cover his voice.
Anyway!
He'll explain everything to her once he comes back.
She got down from bed, wore her cushion slippers and walked out of the bedroom. She can at least have one bowl of ice-cream. Her fever has also gone down.
However, she won't tell him anything and of course he is not going to check the refrigerator.
She grinned happily and entered the kitchen. Whole house is empty. Guards are outside while maids have gone home after completing their work.
Ragini thinned her eyebrows as she did not find a single box of ice-cream in the refrigerator.
" God! My husband is impossible sometimes. It's not that I'll die if I eat ice-cream."
She huffed and dragged a stool. She stood on it and took out a pack of chips from the cabinet. She jumped down and grabbed a bottle of cold drink from the refrigerator then walked out of the kitchen.
She was in the middle of the living room, 30 feet away from her room when she heard the door opening sound. Smile formed on her lips, thinking it's her husband.
" You came early-"
Her smile vanished and words died out in the middle when she saw a familiar person who was not her husband.
She blinked confusedly seeing Narayan Jaisingh, Vidyut's grandfather.
" You?"
Narayan smiled which did not feel good to her. She glanced at the stick he had held in front of himself.
" Uhm, Vidyut is not home."
She said, uncomfortable by his gaze. Narayan smirked a bit and uttered, " I am not here to meet him."
As he completed his sentence, she heard the sound of footsteps and turned her head behind only to find 6 to 10 guards climbing the stairs.
She turned her head back at him. Her eyes widened seeing 10 more guards entering the room and all stood behind him.
Something was totally wrong and she could sense it. But.. she does not know what to do.
Narayan walked toward her but stopped on his track when all of a sudden loud barking sounds of Dogs were heard.
Ragini felt safe when Cheeku, Sheru and Kaalu came to shield her from the nearby room.
They surrounded Ragini and barked at Narayan and his guards.
" Ah! This shit. Kill them, now!"
He ordered his guards and two of them stepped forward. As they pointed their gun at Dogs, Cheeku and Kaalu took 3 long strides toward them.
