( Ragini- 4 years, Vidyut-7 years)

Ragini grasped Vidyut's hand.

" Aapko to khoon aa raha hai-"

( You are bleeding-)

He jerked his hand out of her grip and walked away from there. He seemed angry. Ragini followed him.

" Meli mumma aapko thik kal dengi-" she tried grabbing his wrist.

( My mother will treat you-)

" CHALI JAO YAHA SE!"

( LEAVE ME!)

He screamed at her and pushed her away. She fell back on her butt and water gathered at the corner of her eyes. Her lower lip curved into pout,

" Katti!"

( Don't talk to me.)

She ran away from there. Regret rushed down to Vidyut's spine and he stared at her disappearing figure.

In the night, Vidyut came to the terrace and found her seated on the terrace. They met almost every day here. She had grasped her doll in hands.

" Tum soyi nahi abhi tak?"

( You did not sleep yet?)

Ragini heard his voice and her expression stiffened. She scoffed.

" Nahi."

( No.)

He licked his lower lip and came in front of her. Ragini lifted her gaze and stared at him. He cleared his throat then grabbed his ears and started doing sit-ups. It's his way to apologise to her.

She couldn't control herself and burst into laughter when he completed 20 sit-ups.

She patted on the place beside her. He smiled and lay beside her. Both stared up to a sky full of stars.

Ragini broke the silence between them,

" Mujhe wada kalo ki jab bale ho jayenge tab aap mele sath lahoge."

( Promise me you'll stay with me once we grow up.)

He blinked and turned his head to her then said, " we'll always stay together."

She smiled widely and he smiled seeing her.

Ridhima came and took Ragini away. Vidyut grabbed Ragini's doll which she left behind.
......

Vidyut was on his knees and scolding his 3 years old daughter because she had created ruckus in the whole mansion by her mischief.

" Why did you break mumma's makeup products and bhai's toys? That's bad manners, princess."
