I look at everyone here as I listen to my kind of music and reading my kind of book when a thought flashed in my mind; how can all these people be a like? They just look different, but act and think the same.
Like guinea pigs. Well, actually guinea pigs are intelligent plus they're cute. Let's just say they're water bugs. Haha what am I thinking?
It's lunch time here at school and of course, you got your stereotypical groups eating at their own designated tables. It's like it was destined for them to sit at that particular table.
It's insane how this works when I think about it. How just because you like a specific type of thing or believe in something, you're automatically attached to which you can't run away from it. I don't know, it's interesting yet so stupid.
Anyway, you got your typical jocks, divas, the band geeks, the gamer nerds, the try hard, the full of insecurities, the mathletes, the rock stars, the "too cool for schools", the "I hate everyone and everything", the Christians, the atheists, the rich brats, the skater dudes, the stoners, and you've got me and my friend, Julia.
If we're not considered humans, we're considered monsters. That's the only thing with Julia and I, we're just there. We don't have to be part of something in order to feel the vibe of high school.
If I must say, I think it's absurd how people care so much of how they're portrayed in high school. In four years, these people would forget about you so chill out.
I'm getting side tracked over here, but you get it. Speaking of Julia, she's ill at the moment so I'm here eating by myself. It's cool though, kind of used to it because Julia's in and out of attending school. She's rich and she gets to choose when she wants to go to school or not. I know, lucky bitch.
As I read my book, I broke out of my focus when an unidentified mushy object appeared in front of me. I looked up and everyone seemed to be staring at me. Silence filled the once rowdy, smelly cafeteria and eyes were darted at me as if I was the one who took the last slice of bread.
I gulped because I didn't know what was going on then all of a sudden the mush of whatever it is, twitched. I grabbed my fork and poked it. Nothing happened for about 2 seconds.... then -- BOOM.
I knew something was going to happen I was just waiting for it. I looked at my clothes and the once silenced cafeteria was once again filled with roars and laughter by immature adolescents. My clothes were filled with what seemed to be overcooked meat loaf from about a week ago.
Can this school get any more disgusting? I don't think it can. But then again, tomorrow I will be proven wrong, I can guarantee that.
Lunch was over and I went straight to the restroom where I called Julia.
J: Hey, Kath. How was home room? Missed me already?
K: Where are you right now?
J: Home? Why? What happened?
K: Meat loaf bombings this time.
J: Meat loaf? We haven't had meat loaf since Christmas... Gross.
K: Yeah I know, bunch of pigs.
J: That's actually really funny.
K: Glad to know you're enjoying this, why'd you stay home today any way?
J: Haha i knew about the bombing and prepared myself to stay home.
K: Good one, so you got jokes now?
J: Hahaha so the usual?
K: The usual please.
J: Okay, I'll be there in five.
