Mom's Squad

"Excuse me, what?" I was shocked at what I had just found out.

Julia was silent with eyes wide opened.

"You guys want me to say it in Tagalog?" My mom sassed with both of her arms on her waist.

"Go, bes tell them in a different language so they can catch on." Tita Chichay said to my mother.

And yes, they call each other bes as well. Julia and I are basically our moms. Weird.

"Oh sige, yung may ari ng mall at anak ng isang malaking kumpanya ay na si Daniel daw John Ford ay yung nag awat ng away. At ang nakita namen ni Chichay ay kayong tatlo nila Miles. Oh ano? Gets?" Mom said with her head tilted to the side.

"Tita, you're saying Daniel John Ford is the owner of the mall?" Julia asked.

"What's with you two? Why are you acting so strange?" My mom asked.

"Tita, just answer me. It's life and death. Life for Kath, and death also for Kath." Julia told my mother.

I gave her the dirty look. And she gave me a peace sign.

"Girls these days. We were never like this when we were teens right Chichay?" My mom yapped.

"Actually Mikay, you were like this. Even ask G—" Tita Chichay was interrupted by my mother.

"Haha, that's enough Chichay you talk too much." My mom awkwardly laughed and look at Tita Chichay.

Tita Chichay caught on to what mom was doing and she became quiet.

"Anyway, yes Daniel is the owner of the mall. How do you girls not know? He came back from the Philippines after finishing his training. Why? Which one of you has a crush on him? Kath?" My mom smirked.

"Ma!" I warned her.

"Psh, whatever you say Chandria." She rolled her eyes and laughed.

"Wait training for what?" Julia asked. Why is she so interested all of a sudden.

"He was training because he is the son of one of the biggest company owners around the world. Mostly the Philippines, here, And Italy." Tita Chichay informed.

"His father is a great friend of ours isn't that right, Mikay?" Tita continued.

My mother froze.

"Uh yeah... Kenneth." My mom blushed.

"Ew mom do you like DJ's dad?" I asked disgusted.

"No, stupid! And who is DJ? Daniel? Daniel John? What are you guys? Close?" My mom showered me with questions I quite frankly don't even know the answers to.

And you know, I'm getting really tired of everyone calling me stupid.

"Haha kathkath, if only you knew. Your mother and Daniel's father's past was a great one. But of course, all great things must come to an end. They both loved another person. Your mother loved your father and at the same time Kenneth loved Kelay." Tita Chichay said in a squeal.

"CHICHAY! Omg shut up!" Mom yelled.

Tita Chichay covered her mouth and she gave mom the peace sign.
