Calls and Avoidance

I woke up.

I woke up with her in my mind.

Lately, I've been worried. I don't want history to repeat itself.

She's different though.

She's not like Dindin.

She's different, and I still don't know if I like it or not. Maybe I do, or maybe I'm just scared that what happened to Dindin will happen to Kath as well.

Quite frankly, that's the last thing I want to ever happen.

She needs to escape my mind.

I was still thinking about Kath when someone knocked on my door.

"Nak, wake up na. It's already late, and you have to drop your siblings off at school." My mother approached my bed and sat down.

"How you feeling?" She asked.

"Headache." I simply answered.

"Okay, well you gotta eat kiddo. Breakfast is waiting downstairs. You better hurry, you know how Miles is." My mom giggled.

I have two younger sisters; Carmella and Magui. You know my other infamous sister my age, Miles.

Miles and I are not twins, I'm older by a year. She just started school early.

Anyway, I like to call them Lelay(Carmella), Mags(Magui), and Chip(Miles).

I don't call Miles that in public because she despises it.

The reason why I call her chip is because she had a chipped tooth when we were about 9 years of age and it wasn't until she was 13 when she got it fixed. The other reason why I call her chip is of course because of her most valued asset, her chubby cheeks.

"Good morning Kuya!" My siblings greeted me and kissed my cheeks.

"Morning." I'm not really a morning person, but then again who is?

We were all sitting on the table.

Dad was at the end while Mom was at the other end.

To eat together as a family is a very rare thing, mostly because my dad lives in the Philippines and comes to visit us once in a while.

I was sitting next to Lelay, Mags was sitting next to Miles, and there was an empty seat next to her.

"How is school you two?" My mom made small talk while we ate.

"Out of trouble, right son?" My father asked while drinking his coffee and staring right at me.

"Course dad." I flashed a smile.

"Atta boy." He smirked. He looked at Miles.

"How about my little princess?" He asked Miles.

Miles glared at him.

"Dad, I thought I was your princess?" Lelay said with teary eyes.

"I'm his princess." Mags snubbed.

Lelay put her head down and we heard her sniff.

I carried her to my lap.

"You're all Daddy's princess." My mom tried to comfort Lelay.
