"Kathka—" Julia intruded by recklessly swinging the door open causing DJ and I's moment to crash down in complete oblivion.

I stood up from where I was seated and DJ didn't do anything but collectively fixed his seat.

How did he not react like I did? He acted as if nothing was going to happen. He acted like it was chill.

"Kath..Kath, Tita Mikay sent me to fetch you.." Julia said slowly while staring at DJ who by the way is just looking at the far distant not acknowledging his surroundings.

"I'll be right there." I said not being able to fully process what is happening.

"Yeah, okay I'll tell her." Julia had a familiar smirk playing about her face.

I gave her the look signaling her to leave and that I'll spill the beans later.

She got what I was trying to say so she teasingly closed the door slowly while wearing her famous smirk.

I looked at DJ who seemed to be admiring the view.

"Sorry bout that." I said while putting my head down.

"No problem." He said while he stood up.

"I should probably go, you're mom needs you." He said not bothering to look at me.

What's with this guy. One minute he's fine the next he's trying to block the whole world around him.

"Okay, well drive safe." I said.

"Will do." He walked to my fence and was about to walk away.

He turned back to me and smiled which caused me to wonder what else this guy has in store for me.

"By the way, stupid." He said with a smirk.

"You're not the war freak I was referring to back at the mall. If anything you're a peacemaker, a sassy smartass." He said with both hands back in his front pocket.

"Shuttup, Mr. Grumps." I said with raised brows.

He chuckled.

I was about to walk in when he called my name once again.

"What now?" I said with annoyance.

"I wanted to kiss you too." And with that he disappeared into his car and drove off.

Of course I was left dumbfounded once again, glued to my spot.

I came inside without a single emotion.

"What's with the long face Kath?" Mom asked while she was helping Tita Chichay clean our table.

"If this is about Enrique, I'm sorry it slipped out baby. I just wanted to know where he stoo—" My mom kept yapping until Tita Chichay interrupted her.

"It's no use bes, she's delusional when it comes to Quen." Tita Chichay said.

I still didn't pay attention to what they're saying.

"No Tita, it's a new boy now." Julia exclaimed.

That. That I heard.

Julia, honestly! She never has a filter for that loud mouth of hers.

I gave her a death glare for which she just smiled and shrugged it off.
