"Thanks for the lovely meal, Karla." I heard my Mother tell Tita Karla.

"Oh any time, Mikay. I don't really have moments like these and friends now that I think about it because all the people here are intimidated by me." I noticed Tita Karla tense up uneasily.

"Intimidated? Well they obviously don't know you well enough to feel intimidated. Besides you're great I don't know why they would." My mom smiled at her.

DJ cleared his throat.

We looked at him and he smiled awkwardly.

Way to ruin a blooming friendship.

He stood up and put both of his hands in his pockets.

"Hey Tita, is it okay if I can use your restroom?" DJ asked my mother.

"Of course dear, it's down the hall to your right." My mom gave directions.

"Thanks." With that, he left.

Tita Karla, Tita Chichay, and Mom continued to talk.

Mostly about school and how hard it is to be the principal of the top ranking school worldwide.

Anyway Juls, Miles and I paid attention to the little princesses before us.

They're literally so cute.

"Yeah Ate Kath, and then my teacher gave me a golden star because I completed my multiplication table." Lelay said ecstatically.

"I'm so proud of you Lelay!" I clapped and from the looks of it she blushed.

Julia and Miles started to talk to Lelay. Magui was still on her phone being quiet.

"So Magui, what grade are you in?" I asked

"8th." She said not even looking at me.

Hmm, how can I get this girl to converse properly with me?

I looked at her outfit.

I noticed her sense of style the moment she came in my house. She reminded me of myself when I was her age.

Black everything. She had head phones snaked around her neck.

"Hey Magui. I love your style. I used to have your style when I was your age. I still have my clothes." I spoke.

No response.

"You know I have a little something for you." I finally caught her attention and she looked at me. No facial expression though.

Psh, looks like she got that from someone I know.

I laughed at my thoughts because of who I was thinking about was related to her.

I stood up and went to my room.

My room is a currently a mess right now considering clothes were everywhere.

I tidied up a little. You may never know someone might come up here.

Nanay Glenda is still washing my other clothes though. I hope she doesn't put it on my bed like before. I hate seeing my bed all messy.

I went to my walk in closet and looked for the particular piece of clothing. She and I had the same size when I was in the 8th grade.

What seemed to be forever in searching finally came to an end when I found what I was looking for.

I walked back down the stairs and sat back down to my seat.

"You know Mags, when I was your age I loved my style. Thought no one could ever change it. Then my best friend right here introduced me to this." I showed her a jean skater skirt.
