"Friendships!" My mom and Tita Chichay ran to her friends and then that's when the screaming started.
So I'm finally going to meet them.
They were all here, except for their children.
"Bes, I thought they had kids." Juls and I looked at each other.
Marco and Diego are with us too. I don't know why these two came, Diego said he was here so he can barricade "us" from potential suitors.
By "us", he means Juls.
Then I saw them there standing smiling at us with tears in their eyes. Everything flashed back in my mind.
It's been so long since I last them. Every memory I had of her is now playing reruns in my head.
Tita Ella and Tito Patrick, Nadz's parents.
They walked towards us and gave Julia and I hugs and kisses.
"Long time no see, our little kitty kath." Tito messed my hair up.
"You too, Julia bean." Tita hugged her.
I haven't heard that since Nadz.
That was our nick name created by her... Kitty Kath and Julia Bean.
"How are you two? Staying out of trouble right?" Tita smiled.
Seeing her smile again made me happy, from the looks of it, it had the same affect on Juls.
"Opo!" We gladly smiled.
"I'm glad. If our baby was still here, she would've grown up as beautiful as her sisters right here in front of us." Her eyes were abut to release tears but her smile never faded away.
I felt a sting on my throat when she said that, but I also felt like she was happy we all got through that incident.
"Babe, let's leave these teens alone. Hohol naman tayo sa mga kaedad naten." Tito laughed.
"We won't be staying long, we have a very important business meeting we can't miss in Vietnam. I tried to reschedule, but you know businessmen. They get what they want no matter what. Stubborn." Tita rolled her eyes at Tito when she said the word stubborn.
"Before we leave we have to give you girls something, okay?" Tita smiled.
"It was nice seeing you girls again. After an hour we'd be leaving." Tito laughed and kissed Julia and I on our foreheads, then he wrapped his arm around Tita Ella and walked back to their friends who were busy being loud.
My mom forgot all about me, even forgot to introduce me. Oh well, let her have her fun, she deserves this.
Julia and I looked at each other. We didn't have to speak in order to know how happy we were.
"Why are you guys smiling like there's no tomorrow?" Marco asked.
Julia and I couldn't help but laugh and we hugged each other.
"No seriously, what are we missing?" Diego asked.
There's no point on telling them that that was Nadz's parents.
"Nothing." Julia and I said in unison.
"Kath, Juls! Come here!" My mom yelled.
Julia and I walked to them leaving Marco and Diego alone. It's all right however, they were hanging out where the food was located.
