"How are you kathkath?" My band mates said in unison gathering around me.
I sat on the couch of our garage. We are currently at band practice.
They look so worried. They're the best people ever. Even Miles was here.
"Guys, I'm fine." I chuckled, reassuring them that there was nothing to be worried about.
They laughed as well.
The two boys got up and went inside the house to get something to drink.
The two girls were left with me. I was in deep thought when Julia snapped her fingers in my face.
"Hey! Bakit ka nakatunganga dyan?" She said curiously.
Miles was shocked that Julia talked in Tagalog with an accent like it was no big deal.
"WHAT?!" Miles had widened eyes.
Julia and I looked at each other then to Miles and we both burst into laughter.
Miles's face was priceless, she's adorable.
"You guys did not tell me you were Filipinos!" Miles said in a scream.
"You never asked." I said calmly.
"Wait a second, you're Filipino as well?!" Julia asked excitedly.
"Uh, yeah! Ay! Finally mas exciting to, mas magkakabonding na tayo! Yay!" Miles said as she was clapping both of her hands together.
Miles was still in shock. We did not pay attention to that and I went back to my thought bubble.
"Oh wait, what were you thinking about again??" Miles asked while fixing her nails.
"Oh yeah, I wanna change my look." I said casually while strumming my guitar.
Silence filled the room. I looked at both of them and they were just staring at me as if they didn't hear what I said.
"I said —" I was interrupted by a finger now placed on my lips.
"Shh. We heard what you said." Julia said looking blankly at me.
"Then —" I was once again interrupted yet by another finger on my lips.
"We are just trying to process your request." Miles said blankly staring away from me.
What's with these two?
Not a minute has passed and the garage was filled with screams!
The two boys who took so long to get drinks came rushing in the garage with worried looks.
"WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED?!" Diego said carrying a bat ready to swing.
"ARE YOU OKAY MILES?!" Marco said while rapidly looking side to side.
The three of us girls looked at one another and started to laugh.
"Wow, Marco nagayuma ka na ni Miles no? Under ka na?" Diego teased Marco.
Marco became really red which made everyone laugh even more. Except for Miles who was also red.
Julia stood up and took my guitar away from me.
"Hey I was playing that!" I whined.
"Shh, bes. It's time!" Julia said to me then replaced her look from me to Miles.
For some reason Miles caught on to whatever signal Julia sent her and she forced up and out from her seat and smiled fully.
