This story is based on a game called Genshin impact. I do not own any of the game characters except for Y/N, Y/N's Grandmother, and Bubbles.
Meanwhile, back at home, Bubbles is feeling hungry too.
As you lie there, weak and exhausted from your captor's abuse, Bubbles is restless at home. His tummy is grumbling with hunger, and he can't shake the feeling that something is not right.
The blubberbeast prowls around the house, murbling loudly and demanding food. He hasn't eaten a full meal except for when your grandmother tries to give him some scraps. Although he refuses to settle for anything less than a full meal.
Bubbles stomps around the house, his murbles growing louder and more insistent. He knows that you haven't come home yet in days, and his hunger and frustration are getting the better of him.
Back in the cellar.
You continue to sit there, weak and hopeless. Your captor shows no signs of letting you go anytime soon, and the only comfort you have is the knowledge that Bubbles is safe at home.
I look around to see if I can escape in anyway.
You look around the small, cramped space of the cellar, trying to find some way, any way, to escape. But the rope chains around your wrists and ankles hold you fast, and the thick walls and sturdy door make it impossible to break out.
I also notice my clothes in the corner, which has my knife, to cut apples off the tree.
You spot your clothes lying in a corner of the cell, thrown there haphazardly by your captor. And among them, you notice your favourite knife, the one you always take with you when harvesting apples. Don't ask why Y/N has a knife for harvesting apples. ;)
The sight of the knife sparks a flicker of hope inside you. If you could just reach it, you might have a chance to cut yourself free and escape.
I scoot myself, inching closer, while watching the clock on the wall.
You slowly crawl towards your clothes, every movement a struggle due to your exhaustion and the rope chains on your wrists and ankles. You watch the clock on the wall, keeping track of how much time you have left before your captor returns, since spending time in this cellar let you be akin to what time your captor comes and goes.
You're moving as fast as you can, but it feels like an eternity before you finally reach your clothes. You reach out with trembling hands, fingers closing around the handle of your beloved knife.
I start cutting my bonds, my wrists burning and sweaty.
You start to cut through the bonds around your wrists, your hands trembles as you work. The rope handcuffs dig into your flesh, causing your wrists to burn and sting. Despite the pain, you continue to saw at the bonds, determined to finish before your captor comes back.
The sweat from your palms makes it harder to grip the knife, but you press on, your mind focused on one thing: freedom.
Your hands start to slick with sweat, making holding the knife slippery. But you're so close now, you can almost taste freedom. One last saw, and snap! The rope gives away, and your hands are freed.
With a final effort, you saw through the last of the bonds. The rope handcuffs snap, and you flex your wrists, feeling the rush of blood returning to your aching hands.
You're free. Although your body is still weak and your mind still foggy, you know that you have a chance at escape now.
I start sawing the ropes on my legs now.
You move down to your legs, cutting through the ropes that bind your ankles. They're tougher than the ones on your wrists, but your knife is sharp and your determination is unwavering.
After I finish cutting, I slowly open the door, looking for anyone, then I creep out.
You push the door open, wincing at the creak of the wood. The corridor is clear, empty and silent. You step out cautiously, every muscle taut with tension, listening for any sign of your captor.
You sneak down the corridor, making your way to the exit. Your heart is pounding in your chest, your ears straining to catch any sound that would indicate someone coming your way.
I find the exit, and after I see the open world, I start bolting away. Anywhere, as long as it's away from that dark and stinky cellar.
You push the door open and step out into the fresh air. The sudden rush of fresh air and the sight of the open world makes your heart sing, and you start sprinting away, not caring about where you're going, as long as it's away from that dark, stinking cellar.
You're not thinking, you're just running, your legs pumping and your heart pounding. Your body is weak and tired, but the adrenaline coursing through your veins pushes you onward......Freedom...at last.
A/N:
Im terribly sorry for how long this story is progressing! I am planning to finish it, although that may take a little longer than expected. I don't even think they had their first kiss yet! Please bear with me! I didn't mean to make my first story go on and on like this. But I had too many ideas. :)
With love for my readers, A/N.
