Aurelia couldn't stop smiling. She couldn't even focus on the painting in front of her. The night she spent with Elijah was just amazing. Despite the obvious evidence of the night she had with him, she mentally and emotionally still feels like she's with Elijah. Each kiss and grope, just lingers all over her skin.

"This won't do." She whines, taking her headphones off, letting them hang around her neck.

"What's wrong, my pretty baby?" Nina asks, descending down the stairs dressed beautifully. Her ginger fairy braids pulled up into a pretty updo. She must be going out with Adrian tonight.

"I'm distracted. I can't focus on my work." She tells her, bringing her knees up to her chest as she sits on the stool.

"Oh I bet. Your neck has been distracting me since you got in." She teases her, walking over to her work space, looking at her progress so far. "I don't want details, but how was it? It was horrible right?"

Aurelia shakes her head and smiles. "It was perfect. He said he loved me."

She closes her eyes, hugging herself as she feels warm inside at his confession. Replaying his words over and over again. When she opens her eyes again, Nina didn't look as happy as her.

"What?" Aurelia asks, tilting her head.

"Oh... uh nothing." She murmurs leaning against the back of the couch, crossing her arms.

"There's something wrong," she stands from the stool and hugs Nina, wrapping her arms around her thin waist, looking up at her. "Did I say something?"

"No, Aurelia, I just..." she pouts slightly. "I envy your pure emotions. I love how you approach things with an open heart, but a very clear and sharp mind. I wish I could stop being so guarded. I wish I could just let Adrian love me, but it's complicated."

Aurelia couldn't believe the woman she goes to for advice is looking to her for advice.

"I think," she murmurs softly, pulling from the hug looking into her eyes. "I think you love him, and you aren't afraid of loving him, you're afraid of what you might sacrifice to be with him. You can still follow your dreams, while being with the man you are falling in love with, Nina."

Nina tilts her head, humming as her expression changes. "That's the thing, I think he's cute. I really like him, but I don't love him."

"But... at the party–"

Nina slowly pulls from the hug, holding her hands instead. "At the party, I was too drunk to actually talk to him, but he did stay over. When I woke up the next morning, with a headache, he was still with me."

Aurelia wasn't sure what Nina was trying to say; she and Adrian had been together this whole time. Did she not like him anymore?

"Our conversation consists of why I got drunk. I told him why, I was jealous. I admitted that, and he laughed and told me that was out of character. Obviously, that upset me. It made me start to question why he likes me? Really like me."
