It has been weeks and it wasn't so bad anymore. The throne room was almost spotless and there wasn't anymore bodies. It had some specks of dirt but that was about it.

Not actual dirt, just built up dust.

London and I have gotten closer. Emily, not so sure. She would come around and talk to us but we weren't close close.

I didn't really have much to do today so it was just London and I hanging. Athena was out on some field trip somewhere around the world. I was basically done for the day.

"Lauren," London squealed as she entered the second kitchen. She was grinning from ear to ear. What was she so excited about? "I just met this boy."

Oh.

So this is where it's going.

"He's not a boy. That's a whole ass man." London said and climbed up on the stool. "He's a vampire and he entered the kitchen and was talking to the head chef about him and his guys requesting some sandwiches and he looked at me and oh my god. His eyes, GIRL his eyes. The look in his eyes. They're green and they're so dreamy. I could get lost in them. And he's so tall, brown hair and muscular build. Holy fu-"

"Don't get too lost in his green dreamy eyes. Remember we can't date." I reminded her.

"I know but," she made some random noise and clenched her fists to show her frustration. "Ugh!"

I giggled.

"At least you found someone to obsess over. No one has caught my eye." I told her.

London sighed and a loud outburst shook the both of us.

"I need something to eat. Get up and make it right now!"

London and I stared at each other.

"Now! Who does it look like I'm talking to?" London quickly rushed back to the kitchen and I sat there awkwardly.

"What are you sitting there for? Go help prepare my meal!" The girl shrieked as she stared at me, her blonde hair flowing over her shoulders.

"I'm not a cook-"

"Then what are you doing in the kitchen?"

Her voice is annoying.

She propped one of her hands on her hip, her black named-brand bag dangling from it as she stared at me waiting for me to answer her question.

"I'm done working for the day." I answered.

"Get out of the kitchen! The workers don't socialize until both of them are finished with work." She ordered and scowled.

I did not know that.

I nodded and left the kitchen.

I heard her scoffed and I went to the room that London, a few other workers and I shared. I climbed in my bed and sat down as I took up the little book from underneath my pillow. I found it laying around and it was empty so I took claim of it.

Day 31 - There's this really rude vampire. I've never seen her before and she got a bad ass attitude. Like London and I was sittin down and she jus came all up on in the kitchen w/ her loud ass mouth like shut the fuck up. No need to be so loud.

The day ended pretty quickly and soon London was finished working and she climbed up to my bunk bed.

"Girl you are so lucky you don't have to deal with her." She rolled her eyes.

"What happened?"

"She's so fucking bossy and she refuses to see me sit my ass down, like pipe down, hoe." London groaned and I raised my eyebrows. " I also found out that her name is Diana and she's the queen's girlfriend."

Oh?

"Girlfriend?" I asked in confusion.

Athena had a girlfriend? Was this why she didn't want anything to do with me?

Girl, bye. It doesn't affect me that she isn't tolerating me. I'm just here to get my work over and done with.

"Yes. Word goes around through the workers. They're saying that they've been together for years."

"Oh damn."

Even though I didn't want to feel any way, my heart felt something and it wasn't a good feeling.
